what is the size of the grill flange? "cut-out size" refers to the hole in the wall for mounting doesn't it?

I am not sure of the exact size of the cut out but the grill flange sits inside of the speaker box.

Can these be installed and connected to a built-in RV stereo?

Yes, you should be able to connect these to your RV stereo. Make sure you have room if you are installing these in a wall or ceiling. These are just speakers with an enclosed rear chamber, and will behave like any other speaker.
