I read all of the vog mask reviews before purchasing, because they’re expensive, and while I don’t mind spending on great, lasting quality, I also hate to be ripped off and don’t trust the idea of a 30-40 dollar cloth mask.People seem to either swear by these things or think they’re an overpriced mistake.I fall somewhere in between. Here’s why:The three stars are mostly for aesthetic. Based on print design alone, it would get five stars, because I ordered the unicorn tapestry print (to appear less scary to my own kids and strangers’ when I’m out) and it’s absolutely ADORABLE and makes me feel happy to have to put on a mask, which is a nice change. But are we really using these as fashion statements? Nope.Quality-wise we have some issues. It’s not horrible, but it really is just okay. Like many others have said, the ugly disposable ones work just as well, if not better and they are cheap. You are paying solely for name brand and fashion.They are somewhat hard to breathe into and get hot, but that’s pretty much all masks. But yes, this one feels heavier on the face to me for some reason.I ordered the large, as I am a slim to average sized tall woman. Covers my face fine but the ear loops were big and didn’t create a good seal. Instead of complaining and returning, I just fit it to my face better by sewing the loops closed a little (by hand, took two minutes) to make them smaller.Seal is good now, but I can still smell things through the mask, just muted. I don’t feel great about that, but I will also still wear it when I go to a store.Most important if you have MAST CELL DISEASE: I don’t know why bloggers are raving about these. Again, they are not bad, but if you are triggered by every little thing in life like I am, you will be disappointed that you dropped a lot of money on something that lets the world in (just a little bit in, but still in, and that can be dangerous depending on how easily you’re triggered.) I would not wear this to a place where I know I will be in contact with my extra dangerous triggers. Every day wear to run into target or protect myself from getting a full on whiff of the spilled detergent smell in the cleaning aisle? Sure, it’s okay.Bottom line: fashionably superior, technically it’s just okay. I will wear this one because I can’t return it now that I’ve sewn it, but I will not buy another one unless it comes down in price substantially, and even then I would have a safer backup for when I need full protection and don’t care about how the mask looks.My quest for the safe mast cell mask continues.

This VOGMASK saved my life at 3 VERY SMOKEY casinos in Wendover, Nevada. The week before I got smoke inhalation from a fireplace that burnt my throat and right lung. I also have bronchial asthma.I only smelt smoke once, and it didn't bother me at all. It was so Easy to breath with mask 9n, and I even forgot I was wearing it most of the time.You can wear the mask without it fogging your glasses also.One of my favorite things about the Vogmask is you can wash them very easily.I am here tonight buying the 2nd Vogmask for my mother who is in the ICU with Influenza B. When she gets out of the hospital she needs to stay safe. I believe Vogmask will help do this for her, me, and you..Try it, and then talk about it..

I had a second stem cell transplant and was told to be extremely careful around crowds and being out and about. The nurses mentioned that the Dr masks they have you wear in a hospital only really work for 15-20 minutes because of the moisture in your breath. They suggested buying something like this so that the risk of bacterial growth was much smaller for me. This mask is very comfortable. I appreciate that they try to come up with fun and colorful designs because it makes these look less scary. It is easy to remove and clean or replace the filter. I also wear glasses and rarely have an issue with them fogging up while wearing the mask. It is soft on my face which makes it less miserable to wear. Very thankful to have this product and that it works as well as it does. It surpassed my expectations. Thank you for providing this option to customers like me.

I'm not sure about this mask. The thing on the front doesn't seem to have a purpose but to look like it has a purpose. I love the design. The mask is really hot though and I have to take it off to get air often. Probably means nothing is coming in but I need to breathe, too. I have cancer so I really like that it's reusable as I've tossed a lot of masks in the trash over the last year and half. I also like that it has a pretty design. What would be great is if someone made a mask that said 'I have cancer' on it so all the mean people in the world don't react negatively when they see you in a mask. EVERY SINGLE TIME I wear a mask in public I get negative comments and I'm just trying to protect myself.

If you can't change the filter, then how will it stay clean and effective? Also, there are significant gaps between the edge of the mask and our faces. Better than nothing... but in China this mostly serves to keep our faces warm. Disposable masks or ones with replaceable PM2.5 filters are better.

My kids really enjoyed their Vogmasks, but mine doesn't work too well since the air I exhale blows straight up the sides of my nose and steams my glasses -- the same as medical masks. No matter how much I play with the band over the bridge of my nose, I can't get it to stop, which made it useless in the midst of August smoke from nearby forest fires.

It was definitely too big for my face. I weigh about 180 pounds (I know it's a lot) but I suppose my face just doesn't carry much weight. So I suppose it would be helpful to go more off of your face size than weight. Oh well. It is pretty and soft though. The colors aren't as bright in person as they are in the photo but hey it looks good for a face mask.

I was in the market for a mask to help with my asthma and protect against some germs. I chose this one based on high recommendation from other people with chronic illnesses. I've had it for a few months. It performed well for about a month after that the quality went down. Smells begin to still make it through the filter. Also it is not much better as far as being easy to breath then regular face masks. It is definitely cute and fashionable. However, the straps are uncomfortable, easily absorbent, and basic quality. It definitely it not worth much less then the price it is sold for.
