Great light; weaker magnet
Very sturdy construction. Illuminates well but the magnetic base is a little bit weaker than I would like. Moving neck to reposition light causes the base to move a little to easily. Outside of this, I would recommend this light. It's quite bright.

put this on my lathe

Good light.
Mounted on my drill press and I wish I did it a year ago. Man what a difference. Light is heavy duty and stays where you adjust it. I think the price is fair for the quality.

Nice Light Except That…
Based on the quality of materials, brightness of the lamp and ease of installation I would have liked to have given this light a 5 Star rating but for one thing: within 24 hrs the light began to flicker when the on/off switch was turned off. I changed the light to a different receptacle to check and it did the same thing. Sorry about that YouTeMei.

Not all I expected
The flexible neck measures 18-1/2" NOT the 20" mentioned on the website - BIG disappointment. The magnetic base is not flat - the two sides slope to the middle, which makes it hard to rest on narrow lathe ways. The crook neck loosens if the base is mounted on the side of the lathe when you pull the lamp around to the desired position. I had to repeated tighten it.I bought this model because of two factors: #1 the 20" is longer than the others I found and #2 it is a single bulb, so it doesn't cast multiple shadows like some I've seen. Really disappointed that it doesn't meet my expectations. Anyone know of a better one? I'm going to return it.

Light In The Darkness
This light comes with various bases depending on which version you order. I was slightly confused and thought that this had the magnetic base but instead it is the version that is screw or bolt mounted. The base block has four screw holes, one at each corner, but it includes an L bracket for an extra mounting option.I am going to mount mine on my big band saw which is in a darker area of my shop. Making cuts on a band saw often involves following a pencil line and good visibility is important. Previously when you had to use old fashioned incandescent light bulbs, the fragile tungsten filaments were very vulnerable to the vibration from the machine. The bulb on my grinder lasted about five minutes. There is an ON/OFF switch on the head of the lamp, which is very important to me and seems to be missing on a lot of lamps these days. The light is bright but not to bright. It is slightly focused to a sort of soft spotlight. The unit is solidly built and looks like it will last a long time. I will be interested to see how long the LED lasts. They are supposed to last for years but I have had lots of LED light bulbs in the house fail fast because of the cheap transformer they use. It's all very well claiming long life for the LED but that is not the only working part in there, contributing to longevity. Fingers crossed.

Great Machine Light but the base needs work
I have been looking for a supplemental light for my drill press for some time and when this popped up in Vine I grabbed it. Overall, I really like it and I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars as I explain below. It's about 24" OAL with the flexible neck about 18". Cord length is roughly 70" from base to the strain relief on the plug transformer. The arm is definitely stiff and will stay exactly where you put it. Underneath the plastic cover is a metal flex tube, so while the plastic cover may not last the flex tube isn't going anywhere. The switch is mounted on gooseneck and appears to have a rubber coating to offer some protection from cutting fluid or oil, but it's not IP67 rated as far as I know. The light is far more cool in color than an old school incandescent, more in line with a "cool" fluorescent tube. If you are doing color-sensitive work, this light will probably not render color accurately. if you're using it in the shop and just need to eliminate shadows, I think you'll be fine.As far as installation, It comes in different configurations. I have the bracket mount version. The bracket it came with is roughly 90 degrees ( mounting hole spacing shown in image). and is threaded so the light mounts from the top down. Depending on your use case, you could probably mound the light directly to something else, as the base uses through holes spaced roughly 1.77" according to the directions. As for drawbacks, two things stick out to me aside form the color of the light which is neither a positive or negative. The first is that I do not believe this light is UL listed so I'm not comfortable leaving it plugged in to powered outlets. As a matter of habit, I use UL listed power strips for equipment so this will be switched there anyway. Second, the base is some kind of plastic, rather than metallic. Over the long term, I don't know how it would hold up to a shop environment if it's not installed out of the way in an area where it won't get knocked into.Overall a great buy and pretty good quality, but UL Listing and a metal base would take it up to 5/5 stars

Lampe de travail
Très bon produit. J’apprécie de pouvoir aimanter la base sur métal et surtout le bouton on-off sur la tête. C’est facile d’accès et rapide.
