While these are very light weight and take little space when traveling, they cling to your skin in hot, humid climates and elsewhere are very prone to static electricity. I did NOT like these and gave mine away.

Great pants. Fit perfect. Breathable, durable, all-purpose. Comfortable in heat. As good for in town as in the desert. Handy little cargo pocket is discreet.

As other reviewers have mentioned, these pants feel like pajamas, essentially because they're too stretchy. The style is somewhere in between the Columbia Silver Ridge Convertible Pant (a real trekking pant, hence a bit baggy), and the Bluff Works pants (professional style). I'd go with one of these other two options.
