Installed Easy
I easily installed the new map chip into my 2016 Prius C. I removed the old micro-SD from a slot on the dash and placed the new chip in its place. I started the car. It had me turn the car off and back on and then it loaded in 10 or 15 minutes with the car on. The screen prompts are good. The map seems to work, I will be taking the car on a road trip soon and will be better able to judge performance after that. It is a May 2020 database - but that is fine - it is much better than the 2015 database that was in the car. That is why the data can be sold on the aftermarket for $35. I can deal with a 2-year-old database and for $35 I can update every year. A more recently updated database from a dealer is hundreds.

We are happy with the update it came fairly fast and was easy to install.
We are happy with the update it came fairly fast and was easy to install, HOWEVER… it does say that it is the latest update 2021. But once you install it and go and check the installation to see what maps have been installed onto your Navigation system it is 2020.So in one spot on your add it says 2021 and in another it says latest update….. you might want to define exactly what update people are purchasing. I might have paid a little extra to have the most recent updates.

Great Value, Easy Install.
I was hesitant due to some negative reviews but I decided the price made it worth a try especially since I could return it if it didn’t work. Well, it worked just fine and the update did include a new development near my home that was not on the previous version. I am very pleased with this easy and cost-effective way to update my Toyota Navigation system.

Toyota Navigation is Worthless
The maps on this chip are as useless as the original that came with the car. I would have to say the 2018 Toyota navigation system is even worth turning on. Stick with google maps and don’t waste your time. In fact you may even make your destination without going 100 miles out of your way.
