I purchased the brown/beige one. Tag was on the darker side but easily removed, so I do wear either side.

I just looked at the shawl for a label and there is none. (I thought these items were supposed to be labeled with fabric content!) It is definitely not cashmere. It is a soft knit that I suspect is acrylic, but I have no way of knowing. Perhaps the merchant selling it can answer your question. Sorry I'm no help.
