Four years in and still trail ready — great lightweight pole for the money
I've had these poles for four years now and while I haven't used them every season, when I do pull them out for mountain trail hiking they perform exactly as expected. No issues with the build, no wobble in the adjustment locks, no signs of wear that would make me question their reliability on a longer trip. For the price I paid I honestly expected to have replaced them by now — that hasn't been the case. Being 5'11" the adjustability works well for my height. Getting a comfortable fit was quick and the locking mechanism holds firm on varied terrain without any slipping mid-hike. On mountain trails where you're dealing with elevation changes and uneven ground, that reliability matters more than most people think about until they're mid-descent and need to trust their poles. The carbon fiber construction keeps the weight down noticeably. After a long day on the trail you appreciate not carrying extra grams in your hands, and these feel well balanced without sacrificing any sense of durability. Who this is for: Hikers and backpackers who want a lightweight, dependable pole without spending a premium price for a brand name. Whether you're a weekend hiker or putting in serious backcountry miles these hold up well. Any downsides? Nothing significant after four years of use. That kind of track record speaks for itself. Bottom line: Lightweight, reliable, and great value. Four years later I'd buy them again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Very happy
These poles are great . I researched loads of brands and centred on these for their weight and price . The reviews that they get on expert websites speak for themselves and can be qualified by the great service I have had out of them. These poles are definitely worth a try away from the big brand names as they are light , sturdy , easy to operate and come at a great price. Well done cascade

Saved my bacon - twice (actually a lot more than that now)
I almost never write product reviews, but I've now promised myself twice I would write one for these poles, so no more procrastination. In short, I've had these for close to a year and they've been a great purchase. When I bought them I was a little apprehensive based on a few reviews referencing quality issues/robustness, but I've experienced zero problems. Bacon saving #1; I was trying to do a sunrise summit late last year, got lost on a boulder field in the pitch dark and they were invaluable in traversing that mess and held up to getting stuck in crevices, flexed in weird ways, carrying all my weight, etc. I would have been SOOL without those that night. And just last weekend (and the final impetus to write this), I was 10 miles into a hike in the boonies, buggered up my foot and had to walk out. I wouldn't have made it without the poles and I can attest to their ability to carry a lot of weight, for a long way, with no issues. If they do eventually break, I'll immediately try to replace them with the same type. And at the price, I can do that several times for the same $s as their more expensive equivalents. Update: wrote this review a few years ago now, and since then, have bought one set for my son, one set for my daughter, and will now be buying myself a replacement set as one of the segments snapped on a hike last weekend. As I said originally, I'm happy to invest another $50 in poles I rode hard for many many miles with no issues. Great product.
