Six wire is very stiff and almost I say almost impossible to pack into this box. Is it worth an extra $25 for you to wrestle with this problem and the cheaper plug that you're relying on? I got it to work because I had it in hand and was ready to do the job but I would not do it again. Spend the extra money on a higher quality box. The box is flimsy and is not, not waterproof. My installation was in a carport and was to be used only in an emergency power outage. Not plugging something in and out on a regular basis. Do not recommend this in any way for charging a vehicle or powering an RV. What is your safety and your family safety worth to you? $25 or $, get the better box. I would put no more than 40 amps through this box and that is only if it is completely covered and used once or twice at most a year. A careful inspection of the outlet should be done after a prolonged use of 6 hours or more. The longest power outage we've had here was 8 hours, once in 5 years with most of our other outages being 3 to 4 hours. Only reason why I installed the Box after examining it.

This was the only item I can find for my project. little flimsy but not a deal breaker. I would not recommend this product out side due to the punch out on every side can leak water in. even the plug it self has opening that can allow water inside if the over is open. I would use this in in doors or patio definitely not in open elements.
