Good Value!
This expansion slot adapter was just what I needed to add a 2nd nvme drive on my older 270 board. Using a pcie 3.0 4x slot I get close to crucial p5 advertised speeds which was much faster than the sata 6 drive it replaced.

Asus M5A97 R2.0 bios won't see the M.2
My Asus M5A97 R2.0 bios won't see the M.2 so I can't boot from it :( Otherwise its a nice win 10 data storage drive. 5 stars if you have a newer main board.

Didn’t work or need to include instructions to make it work.
Didn’t work. If it was workable, instructions on how will work should be included.

Amazing little PCIe board 👌🤝👍
[Packaging]It comes in a brown box. Nothing spectacular. The contents, however, is impressive.Besides the board itself, there is the heat-sink, 3 rubber bands, two metal clips. The rubber bands and metal clips are used to tight down the heat sink. The adapter and its heat sink with fasteners are designed to be used in a desktop computer.[Installation]The installation is easy and painless. The slot to insert the M.2 is strong and steady. A slight wiggle inserts it into the slot. The screw locks it into place easily. My M.2 NVMe SSD drive is Gen3x4 rated at 2.1K MBPs Seq Read and 1.1K MBPs Seq Write with Random Read at 150K IOPS and Radom Write at 180K IOPS. Heat sink is not needed. Heat sink is reserved for future upgrade.Place the card into a PCIe slot is a different story. There are a few PCI slots. That's not it. The PCIe x1 slot is too short, not it. There are two PCIex16 slots on my motherboard. One is used for GPU. I insert the adapter board carefully into the 2nd PCIex16 slot. Voila. Now I just turn on my desktop and there it is. My Windows 10 recognizes it right away.[Performance]CrystalDiskMark reports my trusty 500g Crucial MX500 on my old Windows 10 machine running at Read / Write548.20 / 496.40 SeqQ32T1395.10 / 328.10 4KiBQ8T8156.20 / 107.20 4KiBQ32T1 32.11 / 57.78 4KiBQ1T1My PC is running on a LGA 1150 motherboard. It's old. Kingston A2000 on this adapter still performs admirably. Here is the number: Read / Write / Mix 409.40 / 396.57 / 332.82 Seq1MQ1T1 23.93 / 36.14 / 26.12 Rnd4KQ1T15843.02 / 8823.97 / 6377.44 Rnd4K IOPs 170.64 / 112.89 / 115.93 Rnd4K usOn my laptop, Asus TUF 17 (2021) running Windows 11 using Gen3x4 interface, Kingston A2000 performs well: Read / Write / Mix 2636.30 / 1627.43 / 891.00 Seq1MQ1T1 72.34 / 141.90 / 78.86 Rnd4KQ1T117660.89 / 34643.80 / 19253.42 Rnd4K IOPs 56.50 / 28.74 / 51.78 Rnd4K us[Conclusion]It includes everything you need to install one additional NVMe PCIe drive in your desktop PC. You PC needs a PCIex16 slot. It's the long one that's identical to the one used by a discrete GPU. The adapter supports PCIe Gen4x4 bus. My PC is too old to fully experience its full potential. However, I am very happy with the benchmark.

Easy install, totally seamless
I recently bought a new desktop computer and wanted/needed to expand upon the 500GB M.2 NVM SSD that it came with, and I thought it more functional to add a second drive rather than to replace the existing. The motherboard didn't have a secondary interface, so this card was a natural solution.I didn't find out until I was well into the research that my motherboard doesn't support PCIE x4 4th Gen speeds... so I had to settle for 3rd Gen. I ordered a Samsung 970 EVO Plus to pair with this card, then installed it in the empty PCIe x16 slot in the system. Upon the next boot, the drive was recognized and after adding the volume, it was ready to go. My sequential read/write speed of 3,500/3,000 meets or exceeds all of the performance statistics I've seen for the 970. The card kit also included a heatsink.I couldn't be happier with this adapter. I was a very low-cost piece of hardware that gave me the flexibility to accomplish my goal, and it worked perfectly. If the need arose, I would definitely order it again and have no reservations to recommending it or purchase.
