Poach Eggs Easily
I tried using one of these in simmering water on the stove top and had perfect results. I sprayed it lightly with olive oil. The egg was perfectly cooked and didnโt stick to the cup. Afterward, I washed the cup with hot water and white vinegar since some people say silicone molds can sometimes pick up scents from dishwashing liquid and transfer it to food. These cups are better than some very old metal poachers I have that take up cupboard space and are a little tricky to use.

A revelation when it comes to cooking poached eggs.
The Cozilife silicone egg poaching cups will blow your mind with how easy they make poached eggs. In my opinion, the thing that makes this product so great is the paper-thin nature of the silicone cups. The silicone is so thin, itโs like you just tossed the eggs into boiling water by themselves. The thinness of the silicone conducts heat from the surrounding water so well, the eggs might just as well be in the water by themselves. The only difference, of course, is that the silicone cups keep the water away from the eggs, eliminating the โwispinessโ of the egg whites that get all over the place, creating a big mess. This is where I thought these silicone cups would fail, because silicone is often used as an insulator (in pot holders, oven mits, etc.). But in those applications, the silicone is thick and prevents the transfer of heat (or cold, for that matter). These silicone cups are so thin, they do just the opposite (conduct heat), and I only understood that when I took them out of their box. The thinness of the silicone cups doesnโt take anything away from their durability and quality, either. PLEASE NOTE: you never want to cook poached eggs in hot water at a roiling boil, whether using the traditional method or with these cups. They don't cook any faster and you risk a serious burn. Instructions: (1) Spray the inside of the cups with a cooking spray (like PAM). (2) Place the empty cups into the pan you plan to use. (3) Fill the pan with water until the cups just barely start to float (an inch or so of water). You may leave the cups in the pan or take them out if this is easier for you. (4) Heat the water until it just barely begins to boil, then back off on the heat to about Medium. Please note: you never want to cook poached eggs in hot water at a roiling boil, whether using the traditional method or with these cups. They don't cook any faster and you risk a serious burn. (5) Crack an egg into each cup. Place them in the hot water if you took the cups out in step 3. (6) Monitor the condition of the yolks by poking them with a sharp knife now and then. You will notice when they reach the consistency you prefer (runny, medium, hard boiled, etc.). Remember, the eggs will continue to cook for the next few minutes, so adjust your timing as required. Cooking will happen rather quicklyโฆno more than three minutes at the most and, more likely, only one or two minutes. (7) Turn off the heat. I use an induction cooktop, so cooking happened super fast. Pulling the cups out of the hot water is the trickiest thing about using these silicone egg cups. Unfortunately, this is the only area I cannot give advice on. UPDATE: After reading a few of the reviews here, I'd have to say that the lady who recommended using a slotted spoon to retrieve the egg poachers out of the hot water, was spot-on. Such a simple, quick and safe solution! If you find that youโve gone too far and now have hard boiled eggs (with a firm yolk), you can somewhat compensate for this by placing a dollop of butter into the cup (on top of the cooked egg) and letting it melt there. This will somewhat make up for the creaminess a runnier yolk would have provided. Or maybe youโll like hard boiled eggs made this wayโฆtheyโre perfectly acceptable and quite tasty, especially in a breakfast sandwich. Hereโs my own, super-tasty special breakfast recipe: I buy โTexas Toastโ (Five Cheese version) from my local Aldi and toast a slice or two in a toaster oven. Then, I place two poached eggs on top of each slice. Add whatever other toppings you like (avocado, etc.). The slightly crunchy texture of the Texas Toast and five cheeses along with the creaminess of the poached eggs topped with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper (and possibly parsley flakes for color), and OMG! What a great tasting breakfast! All in all, the Cozilife Silicone Egg Poaching Cups make poaching eggs much easier than traditional methods while making much less of a mess. Cleanup is fast and easy. Needless to say, I highly recommend this product.

A breakfast must have!
I just received these earlier in the week and have only had a chance to use them 3 times. The first time was a bit problematic as I did not spray Pam or a like product prior to putting the eggs in the cups. I also forgot to leave the lid on the pan open just a bit and as the eggs poached, they also collected some of the condensation falling off the lid which made things a bit worse. The eggs turned out alright on that batch but could be better. Worse, failing to spray the cups made it a bit difficult to remove the eggs without their coming apart. The next time it was a very different experience. I sprayed the cups with a bit of olive oil and made sure the lid on the pan was offset just a bit. While there was still some condensation in the cups it was not even close to what was there the first time. I was worried about the length of time it takes with these cups, about 10-12 minutes, as I thought the yokes would be hard. However they were perfect as was the whole thing. By spraying the cup prior to use the eggs also plopped out super easily and because of how they sit in the cup their perfect for putting on your toast or whatever. They'll have one side nice and level while the bottom, which will be the top after removal from the cup, is rounded nicely with the toll sitting right in the center. I LOVE my poached eggs and have tried many methods as well various pans made specially for poaching. These little cups so far have beaten hand down all those other efforts. They deliver an egg that is cooked and shaped perfectly and make the whole process easier than many other methods. Clean up is simple too, a quick wipe with a soapy sponge and onto the drying rack. These are great for all levels of Cooks in my opinion, even the younger ones.

Works great in steamer too!
These little things are great! I bought this model rather than one of the other similar cups because I read the advice that they should be added to *boiling* water. The holes in the top are perfect for using a pair of cooking chopsticks to put the eggs into boiling water safely. After using them for a few days, though, I started putting them in my bamboo steamer baskets which is even easier and safer! I load them without the top to ensure no spills, put the steamer top on, then take it out after 5 minutes, and remove the steamer lid for the 1 minute cooldown. My only other advice is that since I don't like using spray oils, I take a piece of paper towel, get bacon grease on it, and rub a thin layer of that on the interior before adding the eggs. Works like a charm!

Takes the pain out of poaching!
I canโt tell you how many egg poachers Iโve tried or how many times Iโve tried different methods of trying to poach a decent egg. These little cups are so simple to use, clean, store, and give away to friends or family! The method is so easy and takes barely any time to cook! And they donโt look like they suffered an explosion in the process! Just perfect little poached eggs to put on your perfect little English muffin. Delicious.

A good start...
Being silicone, these are especially easy to clean, even if you don't use a non-stick spray (though that does make it even easier). The query regarding 'Easy to remove' is ambiguous, but I'll address this as ease of removing the finished poached eggs. There will be some sticking if you don't use a non-stick spray, resulting in small bits of cooked egg adhering to the silicone after the cooked egg is removed. In using a spray, you will find that the least amount of mist is preferable, else the amount of spray becomes a sheet of oil that slides down the sides and pools at the bottom of the cup, effectively leaving the sides with no non-stick spray. Efforts to apply the oil by brush results in the same useless effort. "Easy to use" is to be viewed from multiple perspectives: when a thin mist is used, the cooked egg will literally slide right out of the cup. Attempting to break an egg directly into the cup with the cup sitting on a counter top will then cause you to attempt to lift the extremely soft and flexible cup, containing an egg, to the microwave tray or other cooking option. This will require special attention as the sides will collapse, allowing the near-liquid egg to pour out of the cup. Use of a microwave is of particular interest as my son live at 9,000 foot elevation in Colorado and, though water boils at 212ยฐ here at California coast sea level, providing for a good stove-top poaching experience, water boils at about 186ยฐ at his home, which simply is too cool for poaching eggs... Placing a cup or a nest of cups in the center of the microwave will almost certainly result in the yolk being cooked hard as the white is cooked to the desired state of doneness. I've found that by placing the cup(s) at the outside edge of the rotating microwave plate and cooking for about 40 seconds, the rotating the cup 180ยฐ followed by cooking for another 20 seconds has allowed me to get closer to that ideal cooked whites / runny yolk poached egg.

Long lasting, easy to use.
I bought these on 2019 and they're still as good as the day I got them. Great at poaching eggs in the microwave, air fryer or stovetop. I prefer the air fryer because it's the quickest and I can add my english muffin and sausage patties to cook along with it. Here's a couple of tips: hand wash after use, avoid the dishwasher; butter the insides before pouring in the egg so the egg loosens easier; store them in the box inside out (the ring that stabilizes the cup from tipping helps keep the shape during storage).

Good product
Follow the easy instructions and these work well. The little holes allow for easy handling. And the ring on the bottom keep them from tipping. Donโt forget to coat inside with oil or melted butter to easily remove poached egg.

Healthier than frying!
So much easier than swirling water with distilled vinegar in a pan. 5 minutes is perfect for cooked but still slightly soft on the inside eggs.
