Works Well, Cleaning Can Be Tricky, but Great Price
The Normcore 53.3mm puck screen fits and works well with my Breville Barista Express portafilter, helping to distribute water evenly for better extractions. The price was great for the quality it offers. The only downside is that cleaning isn’t easy—I often have to use the steam wand to remove coffee grounds stuck to the screen.Overall, it’s a useful tool at a great price, just be prepared for a bit more effort when it comes to cleaning.

An ounce of prevention
Helps keep the Group Head clean. You may have seen discussions about puck screen benefits like preventing puck expansion, promoting more even water distribution, improving consistency, drier pucks, cleaner baskets...but what I like most is that it seems to do very well at keeping the shower screen clean. Some people seem to be just magically neat and clean. Not me. I make messes, sometimes big ones and I seem to get coffee grounds everywhere no matter how hard I try to keep them contained. Never made espresso on my new Breville without a puck screen except once when I forgot. After every use I wipe the shower screen and around it (the best I can) with a paper towel and the only time I got more than a VERY minute amount of coffee color on my paper towel was after the time I forgot to use this Normcore puck screen. Almost every time the paper towel is spotless and when it's not it is always up in the group head around the shower screen, I'm guessing from grounds I missed and didn't wipe from the rim of the portafilter. Bottom line, the only cons I have seen for puck screens are that you have to pay for them and clean them. This is a good one and I don't mind cleaning it.

You'll need something to hold your screens
Once I purchased puck screens for my espresso, I suddenly found that I also needed something to hold them without destroying them. After some research I found a large number of similar holders available that not only ranged in size and shape, but also price. Narrowing it down to getting a holder that comes with a name brand attached, these holders were workable. Nothing fancy. Nothing ornate. And well within the acceptable price range. Meaning, it fit on the counter without taking up too much space and at a reasonable cost. It will hold screens up to 58.5mm, which for me, works out well. Durability? That remains to be seen. As the materials used are rubber, they have a tendency to rip, stretch, or both. So, for me, time will tell. If you are looking for something small to hold your screens, will do the job, and clean up well, then by all means these are the ones to look into. If you are looking for fancy? Keep looking. If you are looking for simple and a reputable backing? These will serve well.

It works.
It works! The flow of water is more homogeneous, and "cream" is much richer. But make sure that the puck temperature is equalized with the portafilter to avoid temperature reduction when water passes through the holes.

Easiest, cheapest, best way to improve your espresso experience
What a great product. The difference in my used pucks when I use this and when I do not is remarkable. They are tighter, more compact 100% soaked through evenly and I’ve never ever had any channeling.I’m using this with a rancilio rocky and a gaggia classic eco pro at home. And at my work we have a rancilio Silvia and a rancilio md40 grinder.Dame results at both places.Biggest bonus is how clean the group head stays. These are one of the best things you can buy if you’re making espresso. Period.
