Clarks Men's Ashmont Way Slip-On Loafer

Great shoe, just what I was looking for! As a car guy and collector, it is difficult to drive a '49 MG TC or '36 MG NB with your typical size 12 shoes on. These shoes are "tailored" as a driving shoe which keeps allows your feet to comfortably handle the limited space in the pedal box. On top of that, they are great looking, the workmanship is fantastic and they are super comfortable on the feet. Best of all the price was right! What's not to like?

**Update**: After wearing them for a full day at work I noticed there is a bit of chafing that occurs between the top of my foot and the inner tongue stitching (check the attached picture). I'll probably line the stitches in wax to make them feel a bit smoother on my skin. Removed one star because of this. They're stylish and comfy. My only concern is the fit, I wear a 9.5 but a half size down might have been a bit better. They still fit well, just not a perfectly form-fitting snug feel like some people may be looking for in loafers. Great shoes.

I didn’t like the fact that these were not made in a wide size. Fortunately for me I happen to have shoe stretchers that allow me to buy standard width shoes. It does take 4 days for the leather to relax and maintain its shape. Yes I recommend this product.

I bought these because I have a pair of the Mansell in the same size and they lasted over 5 years. These Ashmont fit much smaller than the Mansell, the finish was garbage. As in, they were lacquered very quickly and poorly giving them a cheap shine. The other point I want to get to is the leather at the front of the toe box between the top seam and the front of the sole. It seems like it will wear through within 6 months. Very thin. I didnt expect top grain leather for this price, but I expected them to be at least as good as the Clarks Mansell. I used acetone to strip the cheap finish off and later applied two treatments of mink oil which helped them shape to my foot slightly better, and they look much better than the factory finish.

Durable with little care

I had high hopes for these shoes. First they were a bit to large ( needed 2 pair of insoles in each shoe ). Second the soul doesn't cover the whole shoe so the toe scarps. I wore the shoes for 3 hours and I work in an office and the toe was discolored in that short time and not even walking. And lastly the heel was very uncomfortable. I ended up returning them and bought the Polo Wes Penny Loafer. Much better !!!!!

Arrived on time. I am a big fan of Clarks and this is a great shoe. Feels a little tight at first but loosens up a little bit as you wear them. Great look you can dress them up or dress them down. Highly recommended!

The shoe fit me as hoped. I have a narrow heel and it was a good fit. I am pleased with the quality and of the leather looks of the shoe. I would recommend this shoe.

Me encantan estos zapatos, fueron fáciles de comprar porque ya tenía otros de la misma marca y solo seleccioné el número que a venía en esos. Son de muy alta calidad y combinan bien con ropa casual.

The shoe are defective and doesn’t seem like new. Soles are worn out. Received the worst product. Never buy these. Waste of money and time
