Evergreen Black Zinc 12 Pocket Metal Wall Planter

I read reviews and was aware that frame may or may not have drainage holes or tilted compartments like the advertised photo and that it will rust if not treated first. It arrived with drainage holes in the surrounding frame only and the compartments were not tilted. I knew also from reviews that succulents were successful with moss, so that's what I planted, after using a spray clear protectant and letting dry. There is no included mounting screws, but I had a set of wall anchors-which you will need. With all that said- I absolutely love it! There's definitely value here. This was the most inexpensive product on the market, while being one of the largest. This is also easy to assemble for even a beginner. Very pleased with my final design.

I absolutely loved this planter - however immediately noticed that it did not look like the picture. There is no texture and is simply a flat black paint around all areas. My real issue is it's been 8 months since I've hung and begun to use this, and it is rusting where the succulent plants/cacti are placed.I just went out and purchased some rustoleum & have cleaned, sanded, and painted the planter. It definitely looks better - I'm attaching the pictures. Perhaps if there was absolutely no need to water ever this would of worked. Succulent/cacti still need a bit of water sometime....I'm so sorry that I have to review this product negatively - it really did look spectacular and was such a show piece in my home. I'm not quite sure why this wouldn't of been weather proofed a bit -

I ordered one for myself and love it! It has slanted inserts to hold my potted succulents (decided to keep them in the pots rather than planting for easy removal.) Beautiful bronze color and hangs vertically. BUT I ordered a second one to give to my daughter as a gift and the inserts were not slanted, it’s a light silver color (like galvanized steel) and it hangs horizontally! SO INCONSISTENT!!! I want to order more, but I’m afraid of what I might get!

this wall box planter is excellent for the value. sturdy lightweight and well made..as you can see in my pic I took a different route I mounted a staghorn fern in the planter although the planter is not quite done I wanted to showcase what you can do when you think outside the box...I will put succulents in the open pockets to compliment the planter...oh yah and by the way the staghorn fern was purchased on Amazon as well it is artificial..

It really wasn’t black. I had to spray paint it black. It was more of a silvery gray

For me this works great! I’m using indoors so I won’t be dealing with weather elements that could cause break down of the product. Mine is used as a centerpiece for my dining table w fake succulents. The slats are not angled so again that is fine for me. The color and appearance are perfect! Love it!!!

I got two of these and they look nice but I sewed little pockets out of landscaping fabric in order to hold the soil. It is a pretty crappy design. Also the hooks to hold it on the wall were only for horizontal position. Inserts could be maybe made with a 3d printer to hold the soil. Can't imagine it will last more than one or two seasons :(

This wall planter is a beautiful as shown and well made. The only thing I would request is for the company to also to weld a hook on the back so it can be hung vertically too.
