Pay attention people. If you read my review you will learn how to form the stand out of the cover. Good Case for the money.
I bought this case and it was delivered at the same time I received my new 2016 Fire Tablet with Alexa. I gave the tablet a separate review. First off this case fits perfectly and is well made. All controls on the tablet are accessible with this case and the hole for the Camera is spot on. The screen shut off feature works perfectly also. The stand created by the cover works perfectly also. Let me give advice to those users that are having difficulty making the stand work for them. It is simple. Make sure the two magnet bars are on top when you try and fold the stand. The screen should be facing you. Fold the top (of the case) in the middle forward and then fold the top crease down. Rest the tablet on that wedge and you have a perfect stand for working on the tablet in Landscape mode. All and all a well made case at an inexpensive price.

One of the better basic but quality cases available
Excellent design and quality! I bought this to provide scratch and dust protection for my tablet. This uses a very common design with uncommon quality. The tablet slips right in and is secured by the inward lip of the case. While the case holds it securely, it is not so tight that you have trouble removing the tablet. I have had other cases for other tablets that I would start to separate the tablet halves trying to get them out of the case. I use gel/silicone cases when I want to read and am not taking the tablet outside of the house, so being able to switch cases easily is important to me.The holes for all line up with the tablet buttons/camera/speakers. NOTE: the speakers are oriented at the bottom of the case when the case is used as a stand. I thought this might be a problem, but the speakers are about 1/4 clearance from any surface and actually reflect the sound toward the listener. The felt interior side of the cover part will provide protection without scratching your screen. The cover does provide sleep/wake magnets and they do work.I was a bit worried that the case would use cheap cardboard inserts to provide minimal rigidity. Best Buy cases do this and bend/get ruined quite easily. This case uses material that does not bend easily. I expect this case to easily last as long as the tablet. As far as drop protection...I do not know. I have been lucky to never have dropped my tablets more than two feet o\and only on carpet. The intent for this purpose was protection from normal wear and tear and also when carried inside a bag or back pack.

Seems fine, but …
I’ve had this case for my fire now for 6 weeks. During that time I felt it has been fine - it auto locks, it’s relatively easy to hold one handed while reading, it doesn’t have any major issues. I read every day, but im generally very careful with the kindle. Much more careful than I am with my phone which occasionally gets dropped (I know that doesn’t make a lot of sense.)Then I noticed today the case has cracked. Now i haven’t dropped my kindle fire (it’s only 6 weeks old) even once, so I honestly have no idea how come it’s cracked. ?? That’s rather disappointing. It doesn’t seem very durable to crack with basic use. And of course it is past the return window. 😤I would other wise have given this product a five star review, but either it’s not as durable as it should be, or I happened to get a bad apple. :( kind of bummed about it.

Great Case. Durable
When I got this I thought it felt a little on the cheap side. That being said, a few months in and it takes a lot of abuse from me and still is about as good as the day I got it. I'm genuinely surprised how durable this is and how well the cover stays closed. It seems to power off on my Fire HD8 when I close the cover. The stand feature is easier to set up than a lot of convertible covers.

Great Value for Cost
After purchasing my Fire HD this past Black Friday, I needed a case for travel. My typical Amazon product searches are filtered by "Prime", "Average Customer Review" of 4 Stars and Up, then sorted by Price Low to High. This was one of the first cases to come up on my search, that was also Blue as I had purchased a Blue Fire HD. The Blue is not quite the same as the tablets color, but I prefer the darker navy blue of this case anyway. The case is really easy to install, snaps on easily. Like most cases of this kind the front cover is a little floppy. I'm curious to see how it endures over time, but the magnet works perfectly and puts the Fire HD into sleep mode when shut. When covered, the case has a great fit and barely adds to the size profile. When folding over the front cover to be used as a stand, this function works, but can easily be tipped backwards, if not on a steady surface (lap vs. table or desk). For it's cost, this is a nice, stylish case at a great value.

Great Case (How to make the stand work)
Fantastic case for my new Fire HD 8. Fits perfectly. Very slim fitting. Perfect placement of openings. Feels good to hold. Can't beat the price. One thing. I couldn't figure out how to make the wedge so it would sit up landscape style. Thanks to one of the product reviewers for helping solve the mystery of how to fold the stand. Hold Fire landscape style with screen facing you. Here is the secret. You use the magnets on the top to make the wedge.Bring the top part toward you, folding the middle crease in half, and then the upper crease down so that the magnets engage just below the spine of the case. The Fire rests on that wedge that is formed. Great!

Doesn't do it's job
I bought this case a few months back...overall it's not too bad and it would have gotten a lot more stars but last week, it fell of the side table and the top right corner landed first. The case has a crack now which I expected but my tablet cracked slightly as well...the slight bit that wasn't covered by the case. not very good coverage.

Great value case.
Tablet snaps into case easily but is very securely held. The stand is formed by folding over the end into a triangle. It looks a bit flimsy but is surprisingly robust. The magnet in the flap is a handy feature to turn off the screen while it's closed.Great value, straightforward case. :)

Trash for cash
As soon as I opened up the package I looked at the rigid plastic and thought that there would be a problem with it. It looks great though it has already started cracking. The edges of the plastic have snapped. I am going to return it for a refund as it really is trash.

Looks good.
Looks good, but only 4days old. My previous case from a different supplier was only 4 months old when the magnets dropped out and one of the folds began to crack. It was also twice the price. So I m keen to log this new ones performance.

Good case
It is a light weight case and it is exactly right for my tablet. I purchased the blue which is a good contrast to my red kindle. I am very pleased with my case and would recommend it.
