Good tool for the money,worked good

My professional, certified mechanic and I attempted to use this tool, for which it was specifically designed. Anyone who has ever removed a harmonic balancer knows it can be a daunting task, and, in this case, it requires a specialty tool, as do other applications. The engine was on an engine stand, directly in front of us. We installed the puller, put a ratchet on it to start, no impact gun, and with the first pulls on the ratchet, the tool bent and became essentially useless! We had to try to clamp it on with C clamps (not at all easy), and shouldn't be required, to loosen the nut. It cost time, money and production. Do not use this, rent one from a reputable auto store or pay $86 for a quality OTC tool that I'll probably never use again. I am not cheap, however, it is being sold as a good tool....it is not.

Product quality is good, no defects or problems with construction of puller. This is the easiest way to pull a LS harmonic balancer. I have used it on 2 engines so far, wish I had this a couple of years ago on my last project. Highly recommended this!!!!

What a time saver this tool was for removal!

Don’t waste your money on this for a lq9 6.0 truck engine this thing just keeps bending the prongs out and never pulls the balancer off. My truck has never had the pressed fit balancer off. It was on there good. Had to use the short Chrysler style 3 jaw puller from auto zone to get it off

Works good other than the push bolt is a bit to short. Put a socket on it and finished pulling the balancer off. Working on a 09 5.7 Chev Silverado

Working on an LS series engine and needed to pull the harmonic balancer. I tried 2 other pullers I had but they damaged the balancer. Ordered this and it pulled the balancer with a 1/2in impact driver. Wish I would have had it before damaging the balancer it would have saved money.The only issue I had it was missing the "c" clip that holds the end piece on the rod. It still worked but I taped the end piece so I don't loose it.
