Using this for a puppy to contain so providing from that perspective. Quality construction as it will hold back a puppy (and later dog - 60-70 lbs) and a child. It is a taller gate compared to others so will work for a long time and easier to open and close (no bending over). Follow the directions and easy to install - take your time if you have not installed one before. It does sit low the the ground so a cat (or other non-dog animal) could not fit under it but you could leave room on the sides - they are adjustable. It was hard to lift to open and close but over time it is getting easier. Also, I used some silicon spray which is helping.

I have a very young pitbull that I didn't want to crate while I was at work. But he's still in that puppy chewing stage. This gate has allowed me to block off areas of the house I don't want in when left alone. The install was super easy. I did read a review on here that the hinges bind but there's a very simple trick to avoid it. Before you tighten the looking nut, just make sure the bolt is sitting straight. If it's tweaked the slightest, it will not slide correctly on the hinge. In another review I read that nothing lines up properly. This is also easily fixed. I installed the hinges first. Adjusted the width I needed with the bolt, then put the latches on the bolt and made my marks for drilling. That way you never have to worry if you have them lined up from one side to the other. These are tall enough that my dog cannot get over the top and strong enough that he can't chew through them. I purchased two of these -- one in silver for my gray walls, one in white for the white walls. I installed each up them in about 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend these to anyone needing to keep dogs or small children out of certain rooms and off stairs.

The media could not be loaded. Before buying this gate, I read the reviews. Some were good some where not so good. My experience was a positive one. Only trouble I had was I had to mount the lower brackets on the baseboard so our small pups didn’t try to squeeze under it. Because of that I had to mount the lower brackets on the baseboard which meant I also had to cut two square pieces of baseboard to mount behind the upper brackets so the gate would be square when installed. The gate is super sturdy. The hardware “screws” worked perfectly. Instructions were pretty good. We are super happy with this purchase.

Very sturdy and keeps the pets restricted from certain areas in the home. The spaces in between bars are 2” apart, so too small for my cats or small dogs to get stuck in between. What I really like about this gate is the fact that you can adjust the anchors on the sides to different lengths. For example, after attaching the bottom bracket to my floorboard, I had another 1/2” from the top bracket on my wall to the top anchor on the gate. I just had to unscrew the top anchor a little bit to make it longer and viola!Assembly was more difficult than any other mounted gate I have purchased in the past, and the instructions were a bit unclear, but after a few f-bombs I got it all set up. If it weren’t so inexpensive, I’d purchase a different gate just because putting it up sucked so bad. But other than that, it’s a great product and I’m glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. I even ordered a 2nd one for another spot in the house. However, they only get a 4 star review from me for the assembly being such a pain.FYI, the gate does not latch on it’s own. You have to pick it up by the middle to open and close, but it’s super easy.

We got this to replace our old child gate, we use for our animals to keep the dog from getting into the cat litter box and their food bowl. The other gate was chewing away at the walls from getting kicked around every time someone miss stepped when stepping over it. This new gate is tall, yet still low enough for a cat to jump over or if you install high enough off the floor, they can also crawl under just as easily. No more tripping hazards from people stepping over, we just walk through like a door and it saves our walls from any further damage. This was a smart buy, well worth the money 👍

Excellent product! Works as promised.Though delivered before promised date, not happy with Aramex. reason- identity and address proof documents are needed to be uploaded to their website for clearance thru Indian customs. Aramex claims that you need to upload your docs only once as long as your mobile number does not change. That’s fantasy! I am having to go thru the headache of uploading everytime I order!!
