Interfit INT211 24-Inchx24-Inch Softbox with Attachment Ring for EX and EXD Series

I purchased an EX300 lighting kit from Amazon a few months ago and thought it was (and is) great and well worth the money. I wasn't quite as thrilled with the umbrella that came with the kit, however and bought the additional softbox. That is not to say there is anything wrong with the umbrella; it's just not my preference. I love having my EX300 flashes with softboxes.

First of all, after opening it, this is most certainly much assembly required. I don't know if it's just me but I had to have another person help to hold things while I shoved the other parts in to set it up.Otherwise, it's a good size for the price. I have not gotten the chance to use it yet but I update this review when I do.

I purchased this soft box to match a similar one in my interfit ex300 kit. Well, I spent 20 minutes setting it up - one of the spokes came with a defect on the end and wouldn't go all the way in into holder in the ring. As a result the length was too big for the other end of the spoke to fit into the pocket on the edge if the hood. Another pocket tore right there and then, so the end result was not very satisfactory. That tells me overall the quality of this product is so-so. It does do its job - the light comes out soft.Oh, and the EX mount is lousy - if you just touch the soft box a couple times, it might fall off and even damage the bulbs.

This softbox seems fine in quality and detail; exactly as expected. I'm not entirely certain what the attachment ring is supposed to mate with - it didn't match the mount I had. I had to drill a couple small holes to get it to work with my equipment. If I had to do it again, I'd probably get a kit that included the mount as well so I don't run into compatibility issues again. If you're certain this matches your equipment I'd say go for it. The box material and construction seems decent for the price.

I received this item pretty quickly. It doesn't seem to bad for the price. BUT they didn't include the attachment ring so I can't use it. I can't find anyway of contacting the company to request a new one.

Just your typical softbox, works as advertised

For the price, if you can use it, it's a great buy. It didn't work out for me. I was trying to convert it to another flash but it wasn't made well enough for me to waste my time.

Brilliant for still life photography or portrait.
