1st of all this pill is a little larger than normal (not huge, but like a vitamin). This product is very good for the cost and very easy to swallow. I take one very day to colds, flu, and COVID away and to keep my skin looking healthy (it makes your skin feel sooo smooth) and the quality of the product is so good... It is odorless garlic... I always wanted to take garlic for my cholesterol and heart health, but it was so smelly and comes through your pores, but this is truly odorless. You do have a good feeling of overall health while taking this supplement. This tablet is very functional to take everyday abd and not walk around smelling like garlic 🧄. I take everyday and always keep a supply on hand.

I’ve used these for years and they really work. I usually take them every other day, but if I feel a cold sore coming on, I’ll take three a day and it helps calm things down fast. The ingredients are great — lysine, vitamin C, and herbal support — all without anything harsh. No taste or burn up. They’re not super easy to swallow if you’re a beginner but you can have with or without food. A staple in my wellness cabinet.

I have been using this (3 pills a day almost every day) for about 10 months now and have not had one cold sore! I used to get many outbreaks a year on, in, or around my nose. I have so many triggers: winter, during my period, getting a tattoo, having a cold, etc. There have been a few times I have started to feel the initial tingle but it hasn’t progressed beyond that. These are truly amazing. They do have a slight garlic odor but that isn’t a problem for me. Edit: about a year after starting these, I got a cold sore. I have a really terrible virus with a fever and have been blowing my nose constantly so it doesn’t surprise me. I had also gone down to 2 pills a day for a little while and skipped them completely the day before my breakout started.

My first experience with Lysine was as a kid, I would regularly get AWFUL canker sores (note: these are different than cold sores) in my mouth (which I now know is from eating acidic or super sugary foods/candies) that would last for weeks and make it painful to eat, brush my teeth, etc. My grandfather actually recommended taking Lysine supplements for that and I didn't get another canker sore for years! Even after I stopped regularly taking the supplements. As for cold sores, I contracted HSV1 as an adult and immediately took to the internet for home remedies to prevent getting them altogether. Lysine supplements consistently popped up and I spoke to my doctor about it who highly encouraged taking the supplements to help prevent and/or lessen the severity of an outbreak. I noticed that a cold sore would pop up during periods of extreme stress or when I had some sort of hormonal imbalance (aka when I was switching to a new hormonal birth control method and my body was still adjusting) but after a while of taking these supplements, when I did get one, they were WAY less severe and didn't come on as quickly (giving me time to start taking the anti-viral pill prescribed by my doctor before it got too bad). Overall, I have no idea whether these supplements are what is actually causing my cold sores to be less severe or if it's just my body being better able to fight the infection over time (antibodies - yay!) but it's certainly worth it to try. Especially if you suffer from regular, severe HSV outbreaks. The bottle recommends taking three pills a day: one in the morning, one around lunch, and one around dinner time on an empty stomach but if you're anything like me.. your stomach is never empty except for in the morning right after waking up (lol!). I started taking all three first thing in the morning before heading to work and it seems to work just fine. One major thing I did notice right after starting these supplements is that I would start to feel a little anxious about mid morning. which the internet informed me was due to the licorice in this product. Apparently licorice raises your blood pressure.. who knew! After a while my body got used to it and I stopped getting this feeling, but it's definitely something to discuss with your doctor if you have issues with your blood pressure already. Other than that, these seem great. I haven't noticed any sort of bad odor and they seem to be pretty tasteless.

Great Immune support product, but the garlic is not odorless. The bottle smells.

I take the three (3) tablets in the morning as directed and have noticed that it greatly reduces the number of mouth ulcers (canker sores) I get and when I rarely do get one they are not painful and don't last more than a couple days at most. That is the original reason I started taking Lysine. What I've also noticed is that I am much less susceptible to mosquito bites (I guess due to the Garlic?) when taking these pills daily. I recently was at a resort in Cancun with my wife and it had the beach on one side and swamp on the other... they had a MAJOR mosquito problem. My wife came home with 50 mosquito bites and I had fewer than 5. If I hadn't been daily taking these pills I'm confident I'd be in the same boat as her - mosquitos have typically targeted me more than others but the pill were like a magic repellent. The do have a Garlic smell and taking 3 at a time can seem a bit much - but the work. Highly recommend for daily use! 4.8/5

Honestly a life changer for me. I used to get bad cold sores every month. I've been taking this (¹ per day) for years now and the frequency has dropped to a few times a year and the severity is much less than before. I should probably add that I needed to take this for a few months before it had any real effect, so stick with it (I.e. finish the bottle) it may be better to have a higher dosage to start with to saturate your system, then just do a top up tablet each day. Everyone is different though, so listen to your body. Good luck with your herpes fight.
