AmazonBasics Wood Suit Hangers - 30 Pack, Natural

Opened the box to find wood dust on everywhere. Looking close one of the hangers was totally chewed up and a second hanger was just starting to get eaten!! Looks like there are some extra guests in this shipment...

The last time I ordered these, they were under a slightly different product link: AmazonBasics Wood Suit Hangers - 30 PackThose hangers were sturdy, the hanger bar straight, covered in a plastic sheath to prevent the rough wood from snagging on anything — Great!These, however, are no longer those hangers. Though they share the *exact same brand and product name*, the construction on this product has taken a turn for the worse. In my pack of 30, over half have warped bars, some of which are chipped, rough enough to splinter, and, as you may have already guessed from the former, are no longer covered in a plastic sheath. This makes me uncomfortable to hang anything on the bar, as this will almost certainly result in snagging or similar damage to my clothing.I'm really not sure why they decided to skimp on the sheath, it was a solid product before.

Needs QA-I ordered two sets of these, one month apart. The first set was a beautiful teak wood color, looked and felt like wood. The second order arrived and the color was completely different! The hangars were a light yellow wood that looked more plastic than anything. Construction was also way worse on the second order. No happy with this product the second time around.

Before I had purchased J.S. Hanger Solid Wooden Suit Hangers Natural Finish with Anti-rust Hooks and Non-slip Bar - 20 Pack. I wasn't paying attention and put these in my cart and thought I was getting the same thing. Because...Amazon Basics...I never had a bad product from that line. Not so with these hangers. These are noticeably lighter wood (almost so light it feels like Balsa wood) and the finish is not great at all. It is rough to the touch and will easily snag my polo shirts and cause more wear on them than needs to be. Additionally, the clear finish is very thin. So much so that the coverage is not consistent across the hanger and in some spots not even there at all, just bare wood. And one more thing, the crossbar at the bottom doesn't have any type of covering. The other hangers have a plastic sheath over the wood so pants or delicates don't snag.In my opinion, the product I received is a complete waste of money. I'm no longer using these and using my old plastic hangers until I get the much better ones linked above. Yes they are a bit more expensive, but so worth it.

The bottom dowel on these hangers arrived VERY rough, and I got a deep splinter while hanging my clothes. Literally bleeding all over the place. From a hanger. I know.I had to sand each dowel by hand in order to use them, which sort of helped but they're still very rough. The top bars are fine, but the connecting dowel is made from this rough, untreated wood that literally splinters off if you run your hand over it. Design flaw? Terrible quality? Do yourself a favor and just don't order these hangers.I'd attempt to return them but it would cost me more to return them than I paid for them.

The package box arrived damaged and half of hangers arrived broken. Such a hassle to return for a replacement as the item is bulky. I'm not even sure if it's worth it to carry all these hangers to the UPS store and purchase a new box to return them.

LOVE these hangers. They look beautiful.

These hangers make your clothes look so much better in your closet. It has the same affect as seeing it in the store. I had black velvet hangers and it made looking at my closet such a drag but with these hangers I can actually see what I have and why I bought it in the first place. Thank you for saving my wardrobe!!
