This is a great a set! Super vivid colors that blend easily and dry beautifully. Includes a swatch card which makes it great for referencing how the colors actually dry while painting and an easy squeeze water brush pen so you can get painting immediately. The colors are removable if you want and can snap right back in. The metal tin closes up nice and compact and has an exterior ring for a better grip while painting or carrying it. Would also make a great gift!

So glad I ordered this set; the color selection is great, and the quality is good. I feel this set would be good for beginners and more advanced artists. Can't wait to experiment with these!

Purchased on impulse and well satisfied. As a practicing artist, I paint every day. Have lots of art supplies, but this caught my eye. The colors have unusual names, such as Ginger, Sangria and Denim. Something a bit different as the 48 colors are blended into some unusual shades. The container is sturdy, has a good mixing area and easily carried.

I've been waiting a long time for these to be on sale and snatched them up as soon as they were. They are creamy and bright. The colors lay down nicely and blend smoothly. They wet easily and are really great to paint with. I'm enjoying using them!

I have worked with a lot of different types of watercolor. I have top of the line professional paints right on down to grade school art quality.HOW THIS COMESThis comes in a box with a nice fold out palette. There is a nice swatch cart you can fill in so that you always have a chart of what the colors look like.QUALITYThese are bright saturated colors. I put these with the little fancy cards that I might paint to send to someone or an encouraging little hobby level painting to give someone a boost. The quality is good and the colors are nice, but they are not quite as painterly as artist grade is.COMPARISONI have a photo for you in this review. There are some pencils I drew. On the upper left corner there are pencils painted with what I consider more art professional looking colors. Under where it says KINGART there are several pencils painted with Kingart palette. The colors are not quite as bold or intense and they also don't seem to be as consistent in appearance either.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a decent quality palette for the hobbyist or someone who likes to save professional level watercolor for high quality artwork and still make nice looking crafts or cards.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. For what it is I like it. It is not what I first reach for when I want to do some serious artwork, but I do like to use it in making greeting cards or other small works of art to give to people for encouragement.

These are so much fun to use! The colors are rich with pigment and blend together nicely. These are the first two sketches I completed with the paints. The tin is also nice- there are many different wells you can use to mix and dilute your colors. I like that the pans are removable, so if I want to take a handful of colors with me to do plein air.I'm new to watercolor, so I'm not able to compare this with the professional level WC. However, I'm pleased and I plan to use these in illustrations.
