Morphy Richards Accents Pyramid Kettle, 1.5 L Black, 102002

Je rêvais d'avoir cette bouilloire, ça y est elle est dans ma cuisine ! Elle est vraiment jolie c'est vrai, entre design et rétro. Cela dit, je pensais qu'elle était d'un noir plus intense et avec vrai aspect brossé, mais ce n'est pas le cas, la finition est plutôt brillante et pas tout fait noire. Du coup, il faut la nettoyer souvent pour qu'elle soit toujours impeccable, car on voit de suite les traces dessus. Attention aux rayures !! Le bouton en plastique malheureusement fait un peu cheap. J'aime bien le socle électrique qui, avec la bouilloire dessus, on ne le voit quasi plus. Le prix reste malgré tout un peu élevé.

Water level gauge is not eco-friendly : it shows a minimum of 4 cupsIn these eco-days of saving electricity I am sad to see that the design of this kettle, which is a visual treat, doesn't stretch to showing less than 4 cups of water through the water level gauge. Despite 2 cups being the lowest mark on the gauge (enough for one mug of tea), you cannot actually see the water level until it gets to 4 cups! So if you want to be economical, you will have to lift the lid each time you put it on, to see whether there is enough for a mug, or to make sure it hasn't run dry. Not great! Otherwise it is easy on the eye on your work-top. What a pity they didn't get it right within.

This is our second kettle of this make and style, we love the look of this kettle in our kitchen. Overall it is a well made kettle, well insulated and handle keeps cool after being boiled. The only issue we have had with this kettle which caused us to drop a star is the external fill indicator has become condensated so it is not easy to see how full the kettle is.

Very stylish looks and is one of the fastest boiling kettles I have ever purchased. This is great for someone who needs a quick cup of tea in the morning. The only thing I would change about this is the way the top opens which can be a bit clunky. But otherwise a great product that I would purchase again.

A stylish, well made product ruined by branding.I don't care for the 'morphy richards' logos, they have printed it on both sides of the kettle and badged it in to the handle, why??All the details could be on a sticker underneath. Less is definitely more.Pleased to see a white power indicator light discreetly above the power switch, looks much better than red or blue.The black part of the kettle is a black chrome, looks different to the pictures (better).Other than that it boils water just fine ;-)
