Works with Fat PS2
Got this after watching a tutorial on how to play games using .Iso files on hard disc drives intead of physical discs, most of which i had no chance of of stumbling across at a garage sale or local trade store; they are just that rare, or to make a glitching scratched disc play smoothly via .Iso file.I can say that while the entire process is tedious to learn and time consuming, this adapter piece gets the job done. Im using a 2.5 Seagate hdd that i got to work with a Fat PS2 and can say with confidence that the adapter even survived a freak beverage spill incident. 10/10 would buy again for another Fat PS2 if needed. Works with 2.5 and would most likely work with 3.5 size hard drives as well. Has 2 screws to secure the adapter to the Fat PS2.Would recommend a piece of cardboard or anytging to keep the hard drive level and from bending the adapter connections, not necessary but just as an assurance for the adapter's long-term lifespan.Straight plug and play in regards to the adapter.Only stipulation is that it doesn't have a network connection in the adapter. Not a downside for me as I'll be offline anyway but most 3rd party adapters don't have it so it's not a loss at all.If a network adapter is necessary, i heard that officially licensed Sony adapters may be the only way of acquiring them, hopefully im wrong.

Good buy
Great product, easy to install and interface was as expected. No issues. First one arrived damaged and got a replacement by next day.Great way to play back ups from HDD.

Compatible and useful
Was able to connect with every PS2 model I've thrown at it so far. Super easy to install in comparison to doing the mod on a stock network adapter, and performance is exactly like the mod, if not faster. The build quality is a little cheap, but it'll last assuming you aren't taking it in and out of the PS2 too much.

Ps2 has to be my favorite of all time consoles. Recently bought a ps2 for cheap. So I bought this to mod the ps2. Ya it took some of the nostalgia away since I no longer use disc's but this worked great to mode my ps2.

Fool me once shame on you
Fool me twice shame on me. There wont be a third time. Now Im 100% sure the 2.5ssds and 3.5 hdds Ive formated each and every way work. The port on the back of the ps2 for the network adapter works fine my friends og adapter that was modded to use sata works with it. However the first one I recieved did not work on my friends ps2 or mine nor the replacement on either or. Not sure if they were defective from the factory, were damaged at the warehouse, during shipping or delivery. The second one was possibly damaged during delivery as my neighbor stated it was tossed into his yard. Oh and that to it was delivered to the wrong address. Will not be getting a replacent and will evaluate other delivery methods and will be looking for an og network adaptor

The media could not be loaded. The video showed more of the other parts I upgraded but it definitely works, Like a glove! 👌🏼
