Exact Replacement
Exact replacement for my original, which after several years malfunctioned and would no longer work. It was easy to install (power turned off, of course) and works great!

Whole House Fan Switch
This works great on our 8 year old Quiet Cool Whole House fan. The installation was easy, the only issue was getting all of the wires tucked back inside to make a flush mount to the wall. It works and we are happy to cool the place off each evening, it has been hot in S California

Good Timer
Works well for 6 years. I had two of them and both gave out after around 6 years.

This was a replacement for the my Intermatic timer that failed
I was able to install this timer in just a couple of minutes. It worked as expected and all wires were long enough and no problems installing it and the 1/2/4/8 hour timers seem to work. No problems. I would buy this again. Very easy install. I installed this for the Quiet Cool fan and when I called the company who installed my fan told me it would be a $295 charge to come out and install the timer I told them no and just did it myself and very glad I did.

Great for my ceiling fan
I put this on my ceiling fan. It works great.Something that is not clear in the description is that it has a continuous mode that keeps it on without the timer.I great buy, and a good value.

nice switch for a fan timer
I am using this as an overhead ceiling fan timer in my bedroom (I have another on the ceiling fan in my daughter's bedroom). It works great to turn the fan on for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours - especially when going to sleep. It also has a "hold" function that simply leaves the switch on. It is easy wire and not a space hog inside the electrical box.Be careful that you get the timer that meets your needs. This one goes for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. There is another version that goes for 10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes. Intermatic EI210W Electronic Auto-Off Timer 10/20/30/60 Minutes, White That one is better for a bathroom exhaust fan.Another alternative you should look at is the Lutron MA-T51-WH Maestro Countdown Timer, White. It is the same price, and a bit more elegant looking. (I have not used or installed it, but saw it online after I already installed the Intermatic timer.)

Works great as the replacement for QuietCool fan timer
Old timer was always running hot at the bottom (seems to be a common problem), and eventually gave out after 5 years. New one, so far seem to be cooler, same manufacturer as QuietCool branded one, and is truly a drop-in replacement "(wire for wire). So far, so good.

Worked perfectly for 7 years, then failed
I used this for timer control on a whole house fan. It worked great for 7 years and 3 months then died.Regular switches last much longer but I don't know if this a good lifespan compared to other timer units.I'm writing this so people will know, if the fan stops working after several years it's time to replace the switch, don't panic that there is something wrong with the fan.
