Its really well built and almost too powerful...much like Vaders suit.

I guess SOMEHOW I must have gotten lucky and received a sturdy product - I'm usually the one like the other unlucky reviewers to get things that break or have missing parts. I've had mine since end of May 2017 and have used it about a dozen times so far. I like the rheostat on the top, but usually have it set for about mid-power, so don't mess with it much. It's very easy to handle, is sturdy during operation, and cleans up well. I like how it makes the food have a very fluffy,aerated texture. it's so easy to get to and assemble that it actually gets used, vs a larger item that needs to come out of a cabinet and take up space on the counter to use. Very portable, as long as you have an outlet nearby. I went online right now to purchase one for a friend, but I'm not liking the reviews about how it doesn't work, so now I'm a bit hesitant to do so. Eh, maybe I'll take a chance, since the Star Wars connection is hard to pass up - something very usable for adults, but still very fun.

Edit: I initially reviewed this item with concerns that it was poorly made; turns out that the instructions are merely poor and the item works fine (for now, have had it less than one week). The instructions show that you just push the blade attachment into the handle. ... not correct. ... if you buy this item, keep in mind that you need to twist the blade arm in (there is nothing in the instructions or on the product indicating that you should, or how you should, "attach" the blade arm).Regarding the blender itself, the length of the blade arm is pretty good, which makes it handy for blending deeper containers. Cleanup was also pretty easy for this item and I have no concerns regarding putting the blade through the dishwasher. The motor seemed adequate for the job, however I haven't tried blending anything particularly hard of extremely fibrous yet.It did make my Star Wars nerd wive very happy, however. Good May 4th gift.

My husband bought me this it’s a surprise has my old soup mixer had kicked the bucket. When I have received this, I was extremely happy especially the fact that I am a Star Wars nerd so having it as a Darth Vader saver, made it extra special for me it works just as well if not better as my old one, and in case anything happens, I will be buying this again in the future.

Bought this as a gift for my Star Wars loving husband, who makes a protein shake every morning and after every workout to help save space in our dishwasher that our bulky blender pitcher takes up. He loves it. The quality is surprisingly good. The motor is heavy duty and the adjustable speed is really nice. Works just as well as our regular blender for light work and is a big space saver. He just untwists the blender blade, washes it and then throws it and the handle in a drawer. He used it for putting together a squash soup a few nights ago and worked really well. Coming up with some more ideas for meals for him to make with it. Gives him an excuse to wave it around like Darth Vader AND gets me out of cooking dinner. Couldn't be happier with the quality of what I assumed would be more of a novelty gift. Highly recommend.
