Alpine Corporation 11" Tall Waterproof Bluetooth Solar-Powered Wireless Rock Speaker with 50 Foot Range High-Fidelity Sound, and Portable Audio System, Gray

I left him outside, totally exposed, not even under the eaves, for a year. This is Anacortes, WA, a mild marine climate with no serious ice or snow, but lots of wind and rain. No wires, no batteries, no problems; fired right up. I am impressed.

I received the speaker and it was small. Only 7 inches tall. The one I ordered was supposed to be 11 inches tall. No markings on it stating it was an Alpine speaker. No markings at all. The box was banged up and was sliced on the side. I don’t even think it’s the right speaker tbh. I had purchased an Alpine speaker previously and it was an incredible product. Going to return it Just an update. I returned it and bought it again! So happy with it. Beautiful sound and it was the correct product this time. I highly recommend the speaker!

Great speaker! Easy to set up and quality sound. Looks good on our deck too. Solar works good and it is nice to worry about recharging a blue tooth. Changed from a 5 star to 4. This needs a remote. Maybe I am lazy, but it is inconvenient to go to where the speaker is - away from our seating area- to turn it on and off. The volume is also limited to the volume of the phone connected to it. Still sounds good but could be a bit better...

Absolutely love this speaker! I leave it out all day in the sun and while charging/playing it will last all day. Its waterproof so i leave it out by my rock garden and forget about it. Recommend placing it a little bit above ground say 4 feet and with an unobstructed line to your phone if that is what you are using to play music off of. Definitely recommend plugging it in for 3 hours or so to fully charge it out of the box. I loved it so much i bought 2 more for a toal of 3! downsides....you cannot link them in series for a surround sound effect...aww...and it loves to grab your bluetooth if you go in and out of range, so be sure to turn it off otherwise it might start playing in the middle of the night if your phone comes in to range.

It was great. While it worked. Stored it away for the season, brought it out for summer use, and while it turns on and pairs with Bluetooth, there is no audio. While Amazon only allows 30 days warranty, Alpine has a 1 year warranty. Since it was within the 1 year, I went to contact Alpine. The link here on Amazon is not valid. Attempting to find a customer service contact is a quest in itself. Once I did find a number, I called. Left a voicemail. No response. Text line. No response. Email. Only initial response was that it was received. I followed up. Then received a text response a couple days later. Trying to engage via text was frustrating because it would take 12 to 24 hours to hear anything back. I sent photos/video of issue via email. Alpine states there are none in stock to replace my speaker, that there is a waitlist. Yet they are here ready to ship on Amazon... after several weeks of playing email correspondence and awaiting replies, they approved to put me on the priority waitlist for when it "becomes available". This entire process thus far has been 6 weeks. No update, no replacement, no response. It leads me to believe they're hoping I just forget. Nope. Either send me a speaker or replace it per the warranty.

we bought this for use out by our pool and hot tub. We have the surround sound in our living room wired to two ceiling mounted speakers on our patio, but the receiver treats them as an additional pair of rear channel speakers, so for the music to be audible over the sound of the hot tub, we have to have it really loud inside the house, which is usually fine for when we're having a party, but not ideal for every day use. This speaker is a nice compromise. Just pair with your phone and play some music. The sound quality is decent -- pretty much on par with any decent boombox. My only complaint overall is that as you turn the volume up, it seems to aggressively compress the audio signal and roll off more and more bass, I'm guessing to favor volume and clarity over audio fidelity. Don't expect deep booming bass or you'll be disappointed, but at normal listening levels the mids and highs are articulated and clear. The volume level is good, we had it up pretty loud last night and didn't notice any distortion at a level that was uncomfortably loud. We haven't used it long enough to run the batteries out yet so I can't really speak to how long it lasts but we used it for a few hours after the sun went down and it lasted well into the evening when we decided to wrap it up for the night. It would be nice if you could pair more than one of these to the same phone, but for the purpose of getting music out by the pool, this does the job well.

The sound quality of the speaker is amazingly clear. Ease of connectivity. The speaker is a great value for the money and very portable. Overall a great value for the money. The only issue I have is I bought 2 and didn’t realize I couldn’t sync them!

I had this speaker since June 2023. It worked great for me. I only power charged it the first time and since then it was solar powered only. I was doing yard work yesterday and wanted to turn on my music and it would not start or connect. I am in Portland Oregon, so a lot of gloomy days lately so maybe not enough sun to charge it. I will plug it in today and see if that will do the trick, but if not, I got great 2.5 years out of it for about $50 something and see that they are currently on sale so I'd get a replacement.

Great unit for the backyard! Sound is good and looks great. Easily goes for 8-10 hours on a charge

I bought it 2-3 months ago. Since then I am enjoying nice music on my backyard. Blends with the surrounding nature and the only intrusion is the music you want to listen. Easy PNP, good sound quality and fidelity and so far no need for any charging as it is solar powered. I would have liked a stereo one and that is what I am missing

It seems OK but haven't really put it to the test yet we'll see by this time next year... It would be good if you could pair them
