Gets the job done
The smaller one is great for the most popular mcgard locks.

Not Suggested for Swollen 2 piece lug nuts
My brother has a 2018 Ford with swollen lug nuts, I purchased this just to see if it would work to get off the lug nuts, it managed to remove the cap so I could get to the solid piece underneath after about 5 minutes of messing with it. Then it took around 20 minutes to get the cap out of the socket. Once I got the cap out I did not see any damage to the threads but I ended up using a different brand of nut removers. May work well on solid lug nuts but the ones ford uses are garbage.

Not a deep well
I did like the system. It looks like it would work for non recessed nuts. I have an aftermarket wheel with a deep inset. It was made worse after stripping the lug nut. I tried these and I bet they would work if it wasn’t so far away. Make a longer one!

It worked but it wasn’t easy!
I would say that there would no need for such a tool if it wasn’t for the poor design of the lug nuts on my 2002 Toyota Avalon and the Auto Technician over doing with the impact gun. This experience has caused me to replace all my lug nuts. Now back to review of this product. It achieved what I needed it to do but it was easy. I used the smaller of the two sockets. I had to drive the socket on the lug nut with a hammer. Use a 1/2 drive breaker bar with a 3 ft jack handle for leverage. I had to do multiple turns before the lug but broke free. I mean multiple turns. Fortunate for me it was only one lug nut. It did work and I hope my replacement lug nut set eliminates the problem all together.

Only good for one lug. Did not work out for me.
This bit does work but if your lugs are a 2 piece lug. You will need to buy multiple. The first one bit in to the cap of the lug and I was not able to get it back out. I had to hammer it of the wheel and one got the cap out as you can see in the picture. Fortunately I also purchased the Rocketsocket extractor. I had to change all the lugs on my Ford focus because the cap swell after a while. If you need and extractor go with the Rocketsocket i did the remaining 19 and the socket does not have a scratch. If you have a one piece lugs this could work for you. But if you want something that will work and keep true go with the Rocketsocket.

Didn't work at all
Didn't work, just stripped the nut even further. I'm just going to epoxy this tool onto the stripped nut then chuck them both in the trash.

It's a heck of a tool.
Want to get that stripped lug nut off? Have a locking lug nut that doesn't need to be there? This is your best friend. When used in conjunction with a non-wimpy impact gun, it'll bite into them and turn them right off! However, it is a bit of a bear to get the lug nut out of the tool. But that's part of the deal you get. Grind down to opposing sides, slap the tool in a vice and back the lug nut out of it.

Worked with some improvising, but could easily be improved
This product really saved me when I had a stripped lug nut on my Challenger, my only complaint is that the 1/2" drive area isn't deep enough, causing the impact wrench head to pop out once the threads are fully engaged on the lug nut. I had to use a breakover bar and slowly turn it while the socket was barely held on.
