The installation took about 5 minutes. I've used it numerous times and it has worked perfectly with my phone that has a slim protective case. The rubber base keeps the phone from sliding around. A blue light lets you know that it is powered, a green light shows that it is charging, a blinking green light shows that the phone isn't charging, and a white light means that it is fully charged. The unit looks like it came installed from the factory, the fit and finish are very good. I use wireless Android Auto and Pandora music, which draw power from the phone battery. On short trips this isn't a problem, but over extended trips the battery can lose a lot of power, so laying the phone on the charger solves that problem. For reference, my car is a 2023 Mazda CX-5 Carbon and my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. This was a great addition to my car!

Update: After getting a new iPhone 16 (updated from an iPhone 13 Mini), this charger works great. It never disconnects and it will consistently charge my phone. Works great! I update a one star rating to five stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW: So…this thing looks great. It fits perfectly. And it literally doesn’t work. It disconnects from charging all the time and when it is showing it’s in charging mode…it’s not actually charging.

This wireless charger is like a factory fit. It looks fantastic in my 2021 Mazda CX-5, and you’d never know it was an aftermarket piece. I paired it was a wireless CarPlay dongle, and it all works seamlessly. The one problem, however, is it overheats my phone like crazy. After about a 30-40 minute drive, my iPhone gives me a notification that charging is paused because the phone is overheated. I hope it doesn’t cause me any problems with the longevity of my phone or battery, and the phone itself does get very hot. Other than that, I’m still very happy with it. I used to throw my phone in the empty compartment and it was slide all over the place while driving. Now, it’s study as can be.

It looked great. Easy to install. Slow charge to the point that phone powered off ( had less than 10% life and was using gps) Overheated my iPhone Love the concept and it fits amazingly but working aspect was not there

I purchased this wireless charging pad for my new 2024 Mazda CX-5 2.5 S Carbon Edition. Fits my iPhone 13 Pro Max perfectly, and even has a small bin for your key fob, etc. Fitment is good, requires no professional installation, and is easily removable. My only gripe is that the cord that plugs into the 12V outlet is a bit too short. I plan on adding a wireless CarPlay adapter to compliment this as well. Mazda currently only builds the top CX-5 models with a wireless phone charger and wireless CarPlay, and neither are available as options on the lower trim levels. Even then, Mazda’s wireless charger in the CX-5 is poorly designed, positioning your phone almost vertically, so it may fall off the charging pad during hard braking. This is a great, affordable alternative.

I like to start off with positives. Does it charge wirelessly...YES. Does it fit in the space it was designed for...pretty much. It doesn't fit perfectly, but from a distance it looks ok. It does move around a bit if you touch it. I will confirm what other reviewers have stated, it does make my iphone hot. I got this so that I can charge my phone while using a wireless carplay adapter. When using it in that way, it does not charge my phone much; however, it does prevent my phone's battery from depleting; it just stays where it's at. So if you use it in that same manner with a wireless carplay adapter, and your phone was at 80% when you started driving, when you get to your destination, your phone will still be at 80% +/- 1%. If you just want a wireless charger and don't intend to use it with a wireless carplay adapter...then you might get a better charging experience. If you intend to charge your phone on there for a long period of time, I wouldn't recommend it; your phone will get too hot.

***updating original review after using for the last week*** I think this thing is a bust, it fits and looks great, but as others have reported, it actually is now over heating my phone after about 15 minutes. It also charges extremely slowly. I wanted this to be great, but I think they need to rework the charger. It is a shame because they engineered the fit perfect, but the lack of a fast charge and the overheating makes it basically useless. Probably going to return it now. **original review below** Seems like the reviews aren’t perfect on here, so I was a little skeptical but still wanted to try because it was exactly what I wanted, to go with my wireless CarPlay usb device I bought. Good news is that it works perfect. Install was easy, but takes a minute to position it correctly. I suggest moving the shifter to the drive position when installing. The cable could be a little longer, but with a little effort you can get it into position. It really does look like it is factory installed and mine barely moves at all once in position. As others reported, it does make the phone a little warm, but I checked online and this is true for all wireless chargers and it poses no threat to the phone. The type of case you have greatly impacts this as well. At the end, I couldn’t be happier. Now I just hop in my car and slide the phone on the charger and my wireless CarPlay device kicks on seconds after I start the car. No more messy plugs. Works great, I hope it lasts! The addition a lot is perfect for a pair of sunglasses, spare change, or a couple of pens.

This is truly an amazing product. It fits my CX-5 perfectly. Very easy to install. In other reviews it states that it does not fit a signature model with the ventilated seats switch, however, it does. I highly recommend CarQiWireless.

El fabricante o distribuidor debe mencionar que NO es para la Mazda CX-5 signature, este producto no le quedo a mi camioneta, lamentablemente no la regrese porque hice ajuste pensando que podria quedar, lamentablemente NO funciono, ESTE PRODUCTO NO ES LO QUE DICE LA PUBLICACION,, Gracias

Se ajuste perfecto, lo unico mas es que no se puede apagar completamente y siempre que se prende la camioneta se enciende el cargado. fuera de eso muy contento.
