Nice idea but could not get it to work.
Purchased specifically for my Surface 4 since it comes with an adapter that mates with the video connection on the Surface. Unfortunately could not get the Surface to recognize the other monitor when the Nyrius was installed. Had to return the unit.

Worked well right out of the box
Very easy to set up; simple plug-and-play. This was purchased for a business so that presentations could be made on a wall mounted TV in a conference room, and it certainly met expectations. The transmitter and receiver are both powered through a USB B mini connector, and while it's the less-common "B" connector (more common to mid-2000's peripherals), it's still handy to power off an active USB port or, in a pinch, a common powerbank. In my case, the TV had an available USB port, as does the presenting laptop, so power supply cables are kept to a minimum.Picture is as sharp as a wired connection in my observation, but environment will definitely play a factor here. I'm only spanning a distance of 12 to 15 feet at most, so it's well-within the operating range in this case. As of this writing I have not experienced any glitches with video or dropped connections. Audio is not a major part of the presentations being done typically, so I cannot yet provide any feedback regarding audio sync or audio quality. The only minor complaint that I have is regarding the size (specifically the width) of the transmitter. When plugged directly into the HDMI port, the transmitter housing is wide enough to block the USB port directly beside it. Unfortunately this makes the ideal location from which to power the transmitter unusable, unless a short HDMI extender cable or adapter is used. It's a minor inconvenience, and is admittedly laptop-specific, but could be remedied by either an integral cable or a purchased adapter as mentioned above. All in all, it's worth the price tag for ease of use and elimination of cable clutter. It works exceedingly well in a conference room environment, and does everything I need without having to constantly tweak/adjust/re-sync.

Stay clear
Horrible set up. Had professional come in and he agreed it’s antiquated. Technology wasn’t there compared to the Samsung Qled I bought.

Works very well
Like this a lot, the larger piece is the receiver end, too bad the receiver was the same size as the transmitter. Also it would be better to have a pig tale wire on the transmitter, it sticks out and I'm afraid it'll get bumped and bust the HDMI socket.

Great. Easy to use
Great. Easy to use. Others I've used integrates as an add-on display to the current monitor/s connected. This item replace them all which is a negative for my use. An example is IOGear unit.

We have 6 at our office. Only two work.
It's a great idea, but it doesn't work. There are a couple that work fine, but the other 4 either don't work at all, are OK periodically or only work with an Apple product. I would not buy this.

Thing is kinda honky on the side, but all in all...... it does it job. I use it often and once you get your settings down for the TV.... the thing is rad.

Playing Diablo on the big screen
My son in law recommended this for my husband's new game. He loves playing on a 65" screen rather than a 17" screen. Boys and their toys!
