I think you're either going to love or hate these things
I think you're either going to love or hate these things... probably no in-between. First, they were too small for me. I wear an XL or an XXL and these only come in XL. The fact that they don't fit is not their fault. These gloves seem well made with padding everywhere. Because there is padding everywhere (on the palm and each section of each finger, the gloves make the bar seem bigger. If you lift a lot of weight, you look for that "connection" to the bar... and with too much padding, you lose that connection. If you don't want that connection to the bar, then these are probably a good choice for you.I didn't think I'd like the strap because it's further up on the hand and less on the wrist, but it works very well. I like the wrist system, but there is an extra flap on the inside of the wrist that folds over the strap, but when your wrist is wrapped, it doesn't fold over the strap because it's not long enough. No biggie... it serves no purpose really.I like the strap in between the fingers to ease with taking them off. I wish all gloves had these. I also like the little kid's mitten clip so you can attach these to each other so they don't wander away from each other in the gym bag.My main complaint was how much padding is on the fingers. If they could fix that, these would be perfect. Oh, and carry and XXL version.

pretty good
read all the mixed reveiws prior to buying these gloves and decided to get a pair with the forknowledge of what can go wrong with them which is basically the thread coiming undone after a month or more of regular use. First off my hands are a Large because even though my hands are thin they have long fingers so usaully I need a large to accomadate the length but I prefer a snug fit of a medium. I ordered the large but now wish I had got a medium due to the stretch and give of the gloves and the fact that they have open fingers so if you like a snug fit these gloves are a little ample provided you have thinner hands. I have had the gloves a little over a month now and use them twice a week for 2.5 hours at a time lifting weights in the gym. I enjoy the padding but they move around a bit since they are not snug and the wrist support is nice. I also like the handy pull strap on the fingers to get them off easy after they are wet with sweat. just a couple of days ago the stitching on the interior right thumb came apart and I sewed them up myself with heavy duty polyester apolstery thread. I had anticipated this from a couple of reveiws I read prior to purchase. I also took the time when I unwrapped them new to use a lighter and burn all the edges and loose threads to keep them from unraveling since as anyone knows most products are made by machine and unless they are bar tacked the thread can simply come undone as oppossed to doing it by hand where most people will tie a knot at the end to stop that. I will be getting another pair of these medium next time as I still think they are a good purchase compared to others I have tried that cost more and failed tragically.

Very surprised
Fore once I purchased something on looks, and not spending 12 hours I'll never get back reading reviews. After I ordered them I broke down and started reading a few reviews. Bad move! I was already looking for new ones before these even arrived. Just got them today - took'm out of the package and slowly started the "trying on" process. I was immediately impressed by the quality (I've had 50 pair of different weight gloves over my life; 90% suck). Got these Dominators on, wrapped the suckers up and... I am beyond impressed. So, unless they literally unhinge themselves during my first few workouts, home run on this item.

Dominator X: Great gloves with Excellent Padding
I used the regular Dominator gloves for the past 1.5 years and really liked the rubber padding -- far superior to gel padding. The fit was skin-tight and the stretchy wrist-wraps conformed to the wrist and lower hand for a custom fit. The only drawback is that their rubber padding inserts started coming loose and some fell out. The new Dominator X gloves sew those rubber inserts into little pouches so they won't fall out. That increases the amount of padding which is good. Also the fingers are longer so there are extra pads which really help relieve pressure on the upper finger joints. There's also a pad on the inner thumb. Upper finger joints tend to be overlooked, but there's a lot of pressure on them every time the weight comes down to your side. The extra finger length, padding and sewn pouches add a little size to the gloves -- and they are not skin-tight -- so you loose some fine dexterity while gaining more impact protection. I agree with another reviewer that the stretchy wristband has a better custom fit, but the leather wristband isn't bad and there's an extra flap to really lock-in the wristband fit. I still use the 1st generation Dominator gloves when working lower body to move plates between machines.

Work in progress
I have only used them once so far so I can not comment on all the durability issues of these gloves. However I do have a problem with the excessive padding on the fingers. The gloves feel extremely bulky and I kept losing my grip on the bar, constantly having to readjust my grip and having to squeeze the bar harder than I'm used to, so as not to drop the weights. I will try to cut out the topmost pads - the closest ones to the finger tips and see how that works out.UPDATEI have been using these gloves with the top cushions removed for 2 weeks now and it works sooo much better see attached picture

Was so excited to find long fingered gloves with a substantial wrist strap so no matter the high cost I ordered. I was excited to try them for the Crossfit 16.4 deadlift workout. But could not get my hands around the bar because of the thickness of the finger pads( was so excited about these because my girly hands don't like the pain of heavy lifting) heavy lifting I need to have a correct grip. Also the palm length was too short and the wrist wrap wrapped at the base of my palm instead of my wrist. There is a keeper flap of some kind to keep the writs wrap in place that I had to keep flappy because I couldn't properly engage the wrist wrap. Sent them back the next day. Sad need proper long finger wrist wrap gloves.
