Vortex Optics Strikefire II Red Dot Sights

GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY!! But then again, it’s a Vortex! This is a 4moa red/green dot optic that can easily be changed for brightness and color! I’m older, my kids mention that way too often now, and given my astigmatism, I prefer the green dot setting but many prefer the red so it’s great to have the option! Sometimes I switch back and forth just to see if I’m actually getting younger? Benjamin Button’s got nothing on me! 😂 Best part is u can adjust the colored dot brightness way down for long range, 100yard+ shooting, the dot is more like a 2moa dot or less, in this setting! Cranker up for close range and you’ve got the best of all worlds! Also night-vision compatible for you “snoopers.” Very accurate optic with 1” groups at 100 yards zero even with my feeble eyes and shelf ammo! Paired this with the UTG Super Slim Flip up front and rear sights, and the Vortex Strikefire II with the cantelever mount can be adjusted on the rail for a lower 1/3 co-witness view with the UTG sights! Obviously your results may differ pending your line of sight on your favorite Gal! Running on a 5.56/.223 Pistol with a 7.5” barrel! She’s tight!! Super easy to install and super easy to sight in, use the smallest dot size setting when sighting in, and remember to shoot with both eyes open! Once you get used to this “both eyes open” style, Target acquisition is super fast and easy even for us old guys! Just remember, OLD GUYS RULE! 😜 Excellent combo and you might want to try the 36/300 yard zero with the 25yard adjusted zero targets for the 5.5" center mass strike zone out to 300 yards. Very impressive and might just become your favorite zeroed yardage? Most shooting ranges accommodate the 25, 50, 75, and 100 yard pins so the 25 yard adjusted zero targets gives you the 25 yard point of aim zero and a 36 yard point of impact zero so you can easily adjust for a 36yard point of impact zero when shooting at the 25 yard pin distance. VORTEX DOES! The only issue is that I didn't get a camo Vortex hat with my purchase as that deal wasn't offered when I purchased the Strikefire II optic. Who doesn't need another camo hat? I picked up the Vortex Strikefire II as a present for my son, and it was an instant hit. The optic feels sturdy and well-made, and he really likes having both the red and green dot options to choose from depending on the environment. He mentioned that installation was straightforward and getting it zeroed took no time at all. Once set, it stayed perfectly consistent. The 4 MOA dot is crisp, bright, and easy to see, making target acquisition fast and smooth. All in all, he’s thrilled with it, and I’m really impressed with what you get for the price. A solid choice if you’re looking for a dependable red/green dot sight.

This is a well made, high quality Red Dot scope. I mounted it on my S&W M&P AR-10 and am very pleased with it. I highly reccomend it, especially at the price

This Optic is perfect for the Civilian Sheepdog. I mounted it on my AR and took it to the range to zero it in. Zeroed in after 10 shots, I then proceeded to pump 300 rounds through my AR. The Strikefire held perfect Zero each and every shot, I then switched to my MBUS sights, they Co Witnessed perfectly. I highly recommend this Optic. If you are looking for an affordable Red Dot with great quality, look no further. Update: Just got back from the range, and you guessed right. 200 more rounds down range 100 yards and my groupings were were within 1.5 inch grouping. Held Zero, This is one rock solid Optic. Used my MBUS sights along with the dot, Dead on. Perfect Co witness, A note: on the Windage and Elevation caps you will notice a extrusion, This is for adjusting the Windage and Elevation the Cap fits the adjustment. so no need for carrying a screwdriver or coin to do the adjusting with. Vortex listened to it's customers and made the Strikefire 2 Better than the original strikefire. The controls are instinctive, the Flip up lens covers Snap easily into position and are secure.(note, the Strikefire 2 does not come with the Screw in 2X, like the orgianl Strikefire) I really don't like sounding like a cheerleader, But i am so impressed with this Optic, No it's not a Trij, Or Eo, But it is not all that far behind. Water proof, fog proof, and it's rugged. I did run and gun with it (similar to 3 gun) and it took a beating and held Zero. I'm a retired LEO with 20 years in. and this is as good as i ever used as a Road Officer or on the SRT. Yes Definitely the Civilian Sheepdogs Optic. And another Update: Purchase the Vortex Absolute Co-Witness Mount from Amazon and installed it. Had to re-zero the optic, and that was no problem to do. the Absolute Co witness is fantastic as it centers your back up sights with your red dot in your optic. I suggest the extra purchase.
