Is this the one Scotty Kilmer recommended?

It's from the same Company Vampire Tools Inc. and same registered Brand "Vampliers" but model is different, This Model is VT-001 ( manufacturer Part Number ) the model Scotty Kilmer talks about in his video is VT-001-8 (PRO) Manufacturer Part Number. They are both great set of pliers. first model is 6.25" and PRO model is 8" both comes with the VAMPLIERS Technology of screw extraction. This makes them unique in the market and "World's Best Pliers"

Does anyone know if these will work for screws where the head got torn off (only body of screw left)?

They absolutely will work on screws with the head torn off. However, there must be a sufficient amount of shaft left for them to grip. If there is enough shaft left for a good grip, vice grips are an even better alternative if the screw is tightly stuck. You can even grip the exposed shaft with the Vampliers, which have superior grip due to the vertical teeth, and then clamp a large pair of vice grips onto the Vampliers' jaws for greater leverage and grip if the broken screw warrants such extreme measures.
