Fun gift
Bought it for my dad as a gag but it was a big hit. It’s a good little cutting board for a black of cheese. I don’t know if he’s used the actual measurements but he got a kick out of the design.

Dented box
Box was badly dented and unfortunately I'm giving it as a gift. Now the gift is not going to look nice.

Useful Markings--But Uneven Stamping Spoils Cutting Board's Looks
Because I have a small kitchen with limited countertop work space, and cook for only two people, I prefer small cutting boards like this FRED CHEESE DEGREES BAMBOO CUTTING BOARD. The markings on it are actually quite helpful for when I want to cut things (not just cheese) into uniform wedges, cubes, or chunks. However, I doubt that the markings will remain visible for long. The markings are cut or burned quite shallowly into the bamboo board, as if incised by a hot metal stamping device (akin to a child's woodburner). Also, the markings on my board are not as consistently precise as those on the board in the product page photo.I will try to preserve the markings for as long as possible by always using the plain, unmarked side of the cutting board when I don't need the markings. This cutting board is NOT dishwasher safe--it's hand washable only, not to be left submerged in water, and should be oiled regularly to prevent drying out.My small (6" x 8"), plain, dishwasher-safe Epicurean cutting board (about $11 on Amazon), will definitely remain my favorite, but this larger (7" x 8"), fancier, pricier (about $25 on Amazon) cutting board is useful, too. If the markings were stamped precisely, I would love it, and would recommend it as a gift for almost any cook. Unfortunately, the markings are NOT precise, so it's not very good looking. I rate it at 3 stars ("It's okay" on the official Amazon scale).

Serving, yes. Cutting, no.
When this Cheese Degrees cutting board arrived, it was smaller than I expected. Make sure you read the dimensions carefully so you know what you're getting. There are two products on the page -- the rectangular board and the half circle cheese board. This review is for the half circle cheese board. That being said, this is pretty cute, but not actually practical for cutting cheese. Because of the small size, it's not that easy to use precisely. Yes, you can cut exactly portioned pieces of cheese as shown on the product page, but the small size of this board presents a challenge. I would much rather use a larger cutting board and maybe have my cheese slices be less perfect. However, I do really like this for serving cheese. It's cute, it looks kind of nerdy and fun. We are lucky enough to have a wonderful cheese shop nearby and almost always serve cheese when we have guests. I will use this often for parties -- just not as a cutting board. This would make a nice gift for a foodie or cheese lover or perfectionist. The board seems to be on solid piece of bamboo. If it's made of more than one piece, I can't tell. Bamboo cutting boards are NOT dishwasher safe -- the water and heat will cause them to warp and break. They should be hand washed and dried, never soaked. The look of the bamboo can be better maintained by using food grade mineral oil from time to time. The design is not printed on the board, but etched, so it should last. After a few washes, I don't see any noticeable fading. As a cutting board, I'd give this two stars. For a fun serving piece, four stars -- so am compromising with three. If the durability of the board does not hold up with proper care, I will update this review.

For the precision-based home chef, a built-in way to get your angles and lengths perfect
There are two varieties of kitchen chefs - one group uses a pinch of this and a sprinkle of that, putting together dishes without recipes and without any apparent guides other than their own internal artistry. The other group measures and weighs, using the same precision that a chemist might when making gunpowder. This cutting board is for the latter group. Just the right size for a typical store-purchased cheese, the board has a laser-cut protractor, ruler, and size blocks so that you can get your angles and sizes just right. The ruler, obviously, is nice for other kitchen applications (e.g. sausage, homemade pasta, etc.). The laser-etched indicators are not just surface printing, but actually are burns into the bamboo. As a result, food particles may tend to get stuck in the indentations so be sure to clean thoroughly. And since it's bamboo, don't put it in the dishwasher.
