Briggs & Stratton 692249 Cylinder Head Gasket Replacement for Models 272916 and 692249

I needed a new head gasket because the compression in my 20-yr old pressure washer engine was too low and the original gasket was delaminating. The local repair shop couldn’t get it but Amazon had it. It didn’t solve all of the compression problems but did increase it by 33%.

When I received the gasket it was bent but not broken inside its plastic bag. I would suggest the gasket should be shipped between two pieces of cardboard to keep it from being damaged. I installed the gasket with no issues.

Not all parts listed on Amazon as genuine B & S parts are genuine. This one is, and did the job perfectly.

This is a perfect fit for my lawnmower.Only time will tell how well it will hold up.Thanks.
