Works great! I installed this for my outdoor speakers. Installation was easy and instructions were easy to follow.

These are nice little units. The screw-secure terminal blocks are nice. They do fit in a standard single-gang box, but they are TIGHT in the boxes, so if you have a lot of heavy-gauge wire (14 and up), you might want to use a different solution (dual gang or low-volt type, etc). Because the walls were cellulous-filled, we had to use electrical boxes, and while they worked, it was - as noted - TIGHT. That being said, they work nicely so far. Two months in and no issues. Different (included) faceplate color and slider colors are a nice touch. Units seems nicely made of quality components, and will hopefully last a long time.

The screw connectors are small, but provide solid contact and are well-marked to know which wires go with which connector. The slide bar is smooth and provides a good range of volume. No static sounds when adjusting volume, which is nice compared with some knob controls I've tried in the past. Comes with different color faceplates and even different color screws. Good product for a fair price.

The volume control works great in my environment. I don't attempt to push a lot of power through it though so I can't really say how it works at loud volumes. The only thing I noticed was that the slide action felt a little rough, kind of a cheap feel. If I used these controls where I was going to be changing the volume a lot I would go with something more expensive with smoother action. Considering the cost, they work perfectly for me.

Cheap switch, that removable terminal connections wiggle loose way to easily. I've wire my last homes I built and ran all my low voltage and sound. Search for better. Mine flat did not work.

Easy to install

Works well and looks good too! Will be buying another for my dining room. It easy to install and the wire connections at the back pops off for easy install, then clips back on. A deep electrical box would be beneficial as the item is quite deep and would make arranging with wires much easier.

Fastest shipment I've seen. Seems like good, solid, heavy unit. Seems to work very well. But do urself a favour, install in a very deep box, saves stress on the connections and headache.

These work great and a good value compared to similar options. Definitely recommend.

The unit itself is solid. The internal electrical is solid, but you do need a fairly massive gang-box to house it. The detachable wire connectors are very helpful, but could stand to be a little larger or spread out a bit better. The volume control is better than expected, although if there is any problems with grounding, there is a predilection for static/squelch. The extra face plates are a nice bonus. You will likely need a very fine tipped screwdriver, electrical tape, and fine tipped connectors/soldering skills to complete the job to a professional and foolproof level. Other than that.... they worked as well as to be expected. And, it's such a great thing to be able to control volume levels to different areas.

Great product. Previous switch would let sound through even at the lowest level and this new switch turns the volume off completely. Good product!
