Watch Out for Leaks
I am not quite sure how to rate them. The first one I used worked wonderfully. I was able to put all of my winter sports jerseys and hoodies in the bag and have it sized down to a fraction of the size. Wow! This will be great I thought. Then I put my winter sweaters and dresses in another. Worked again - or so I thought. The next day it was back to regular size. So we "redid" it making sure that all was tight and secure. Within an hour it was back to normal. This one must have a leak, 1 out of 2 - at a 50% success rate isn't very good. I have been trying to contact Amazon on this, but they haven't gotten back to me.Tried my third bag. That too has a leak. My review started out with 2 stars.. Now down to one. What a pretty expensive plastic bag. Again, I am very disappointed and the seller hasn't even contacted me.

Best bags so far.
I received these about a week ago and was too busy to get to them for a couple days. When I did, I went all out. All the summer clothes and bedding went into these. On the first one that had clothing in it I tried the hand pump. Nice to be included but quickly got discarded. I got out the vacuum and got it going pretty well. First thing I noticed is that the slide tab on the first bag came off. When I realized this wasn't permanently attached, just an aid to get the ziploc closure sealed well, I had no problems with it. After all the summer stuff was put in and sealed, I noticed one of the bags had lost vacuum. I re-vacuumed it and looked for the issue. I found a break in the bag itself. The plastic on these bags is fairly thick and in my opinion a bit too much on the brittle side. I would make them out of a more flexible material like the food vacuum bags so that they are a bit more durable. This break was at a fold line where they were in the shipping/sale box. So, I put a piece of gorilla tape on the inside and coated the outside of the hole with liquid electrical tape. Two hours later, re-vac'd the bag and it is still holding like a champ. The other bags of this type that I have tried in the past usually fail at the seal around the vacuum port or the opening. This brand did a good job of making those areas very well. The other thing that struck me when I finished was half a dresser and a quarter closet went into this pack of bags and 6 pillows. They now sit in about a tenth the space. It looks like these are going to hold the seal just fine. I really liked the extra cap on the vacuum port. The little extra bit of effort there makes me fell like they are going to hold until summer when we will rotate the heavier winter rotation into them.To give you a short version of this-These are the ones to buy. If they don't work perfectly, they fix very easily and permanently. I have two boxes of them now and am sending a box to my Mom.

Linen closet storage sizes, but doesn't stay compressed
The bags I purchased are very large, perfect for putting two king sized comforters and a set of sheets in. However the zipper is very tedious to close, as the slide clips don't work to close the bag at all. So I've been hand pressing both zip locks. I do not think they are sealing well at all, as all the bags decompress within a day or two. Thus they aren't really working to save space. However, at the moment they are coming in handy as our linen closet had to be evacuated due to a leak in the ceiling (and is currently being remediated). I'm storing all the linens from the closet in the bags at the moment, so they haven't been a total waste. I would also add that the reverse hand air pump that was included was quite useless. It would take an hour to suck all the air out of these bags that way. Use a vacuum, it only takes 20-30 seconds.

These bags Leaks - do not buy
I bought these vacuum bags after seeing all the positive reviews..I was thinking of storing my comforters/ cloths. I have used ziploc brand previously and I am familiar with how these vacuum bags work. But four out of five bags doesn't hold the vacuum seal for more than 24 hours... it leaks somewhere....and the bags are just useless. I would not buy this product again and will not recommend to a friend.

First time vacuum success!
these are actually pretty good storage bags even for the price! i keep blankets and warm cloths for emergency purposes in the trunk of my car and it can take up some space...so far to my success these vacuum storage bags have cut that space in half and i have room for more of my other stuff (food etc..) so far so good i will update on how long they last!

Very pleased with the results and easy to use
I've seen these so many times on the TV and the pictures on here and the packets couldn't be real, right?Wrong! It worked amazingly well. I stuffed one with a heavy winter queen comforter and three regular pillows and it flattened the bag down to about 4 inches thick. I have also used 4 more bags so far with equal volume and equally good results.Very easy to use and is helping my move go so much easier - a definite approval vote from here!

JUNK!
Still have 2 to try, but 3 of them do not keep its seal. 2 so far are, but I did not buy a bunch to have half no seal.Update, every last one I sealed, put in closest, have filled back up with air. I still have 2 to try, but why bother, waist of money, not spending any more of my time on it. Instead going with Amazons number one seller, with free replacement!

It works great for fluffy fabrics like big sweaters
It works great for fluffy fabrics like big sweaters, comforters, or fluffy/puffy coats. I didn’t experience much of a shrinking effect for sheets and towels. I was able to store a lot of my winter clothes in the bags to save space. I hope the clothes are able to be restored to their original state when I take them out of the bags next winter. Only time will tell.
