Rome 1024 Family Campfire Cast Iron Skillet with Steel and Wood Handle, 6-Inch

This is an amazing skillet. I cook a single egg, sprinkled with a bit of Sea- salt, black pepper, and a dash of Aleppo pepper. First I oil the skillet with a small dab of good olive oil. Fry the egg on medium heat, until the underneath and edges are browned and crisp. The yoke is still runny, but all the white cooked.This is the best fried egg I have ever eaten. My family and friends love it as well.This is the best egg skillet for the best fried egg on the planet. Go for it. Worth every penny.

As noted by another reviewer and like all cast iron you have to season it (amounts to coating with vegetable oil, heating it up, and repeating a few times) and care for it appropriately (clean and coat after each use). Works great! Nice long handle, quality construction although the casting is a little on the rough side but not enough to be a problem. Someone commented on it not being balanced. Never met a frying pad that was balanced! A little care in preparing coals for a cooking location in the fire is all that is required. Get a clue! this ain't a hot dog fork!

As an entertaining camping gadget this was great! It needs constant supervision but that was ok with us. The kids now want one for each of them so they do not have to take turns

it's cast ironit's a fairly good tool for making snacks on the fly without having to bust out the big-boys dutch oven.It could also serve as a bludgeoning weapon if you're attacked by rabid wolverines while camping.

It works well and is a lot of fun but smaller than expected you can cook 2 eggs at a time at the most .

this little cast iron pan is GREAT! it's perfect size for one to cook over the coals. Be careful though it is cast iron so you DO have to season it and you DO have to keep it oiled or it WILL rust.

Pan looks like seconds / factory defect would never be able to sell for full retail in a store bad casting not worth paying full price gonna return
