Yellow Wife: A Novel Paperback – December 28, 2021

This was difficult, but I finished it. The horrors; but by the grace of the divine is the only way our ancestors survived. I probably cried through half of it.

What a brilliant story teller. This is the first book I read of her and plan on reading all of them.

Yellow wife is a well written, enticing and emotionally disturbing reminder of life for so many Americans. I was struck by the heart of a real mother in Pheby. No matter the lineage of her children, whether from her one and only true love or from one who used her like property, she loved each one deeply and did what she believed was best for each one regardless of the cost to herself. The strength, wisdom and stamina of the main character was phenomenal. A great read.

The most poignant review is slavery that I have read. Life changing and highly recommend. It will shatter ur heart and mind

Absolute MUST READ. I never write reviews but had to for this. Powerful story. Cannotttt put down!! I read A lot. This is one of the very best I've ever re read! This story will stay with me for a long time. I read it in less than 2 days. It's so good. I want to now order her other books! WOW I cannot say enough Abt this phenomenal book 💞💞💞💞

Great read, I often get distracted when reading but I couldn’t put this down. Quiet sad and a cried at the end but not depressing. I live in VA where the book is set which made it more intriguing

This was a great historical fiction with bases on truth. I learned a lot and really enjoyed it. I couldn’t put it down. Was easy to read and felt the words in my soul. I gave it 4 stars because everything happened so fast. I wish there were more in depth details.

Excellent book; kept me engaged
