RiteAV - Audio Video RCA Cable (3 feet)

Worked great for VHS to DVD conversion project
So far, I've burned about 50 DVDs with this thing. Works like a champ. Connected and worked easily with my Lenovo laptop that didn't have a DVD drive. I thought it would be more expensive to get a DVD drive. Made the project much cheaper than sending them off to be done by a video conversion service.

Easy to install
The YRW cables fit into the female ends of the electronic devices . However, the support collars that contact the outside of the receiving sleeves are thin and needed to be pushed inward before insertion in order for the cable to maintain a firm connection. Otherwise some of them have a tendency to be pulled partially out of the receiving sleeve when connected to the devices that are suspended between the 2 components (that have to be on separate shelves - one above the other.

Great Basic Composite A-V Cable
Needed this for a revised home A-V set-up that included a VCR (remember those?). The original cable that came with the unit was only 3 feet long, and I needed one to reach a new wall-mounted TV. The item is perfect for this application, at an excellent price point: it is cheaper than anything at the shack, depot, and some other online A-V specialty dealers. This is a perfectly acceptable cable if you are ever going to require a simple composite video and L+R audio connection again. The cable seems well made; the video wire (yellow tip) is thicker than the red and white audio wires. My only quibble is the proximity to the end of the cable of the split (where the 3 wires branch off), ~6". It's fine on the back of a VCR where the jacks are right next to each other; not so good on the back of the TV where the jacks are farther apart. Not a major problem though.

Worked as Expected
This is a fairly simple product, and it does what it is supposed to do. I did get more than I needed, but pleased to not notice any loss of image quality or anything even at 25 ft length. I'm not going to be connecting and disconnecting this over and over again so I won't be able to judge the long-term quality. The only odd problem with the cable I received was that one end had 2 red colored connectors. I figured out which one was the real red one, and marked it with a black marker so I'd know for when I have to disconnect it. It's odd that this would make it through quality control (mayber there isn't any) but I'm not really going to take anything off the rating just because of a coloring issue. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out which one is correct and label it.

good cord, bad vizio
the cord was ordered to use between a dvr and a new vizio tv. The cord was delivered on time and is fine, but it doesn't work due to the marking and software on the vizio. I have a dvr with a front and back switch- the switch works fine. I can replace the tv wirh a camera and it works well proving the fault is in the viziio. I called vizio and got nowhere again and again. I got so frustrated with the process, I decided to get away from it for awhile. There is no video marking on the tv, so you must match colors. The instruction booklet is far too vague and their staff can't help

I love'm says it best.
Something barely perceptible (and that I hadn't noticed or expected) from the photos of this 3 wire set is that the "yellow" (video) wire is actually heavier and (presumably) better shielded than the other two. This was typical of the earliest models of these 3 wire sets, but soon lapsed into obscurity over the years. Such sets without the larger and better shielded wire "usually" worked fine; but, if not, there was noise, not so much in the video signal which is always strong, but in the audio signal passing through a wire so close to another wire not well shielded with a much stronger signal in it.Also, the wires themselves are very flexible, with high quality, thick insulation around them. The connections are also gold plated, and so will be free for many years of any sort of corrosion that can plague cheaper connections. Anybody would be hard-pressed to find a better set at a cheaper price.

A masterpiece of engineering
These cables changed my life! I gasped with joy when I opened the package and saw them: the brilliant red, the yellow like sunshine, the pristine white, all set against the background of gleaming ebony...I cried as I held them in my trembling hands. They are beautiful, in their humble way. I was tempted to toss out my Picasso and drape these on the wall instead. But, I really wanted to hook up my TV. So I did, and these magnificent cables did not fail at their task. The expansive 12-foot length performed as advertised, easily reaching the four feet between my DVD players and the back of the TV. I'm no engineer myself, but the gods (they must be gods) provided small tabs labeling each plug (Audio-R, Audio-L, Video), just in case color-coding was too baffling. Now, however, I find it hard to concentrate on any DVD I'm watching; I keep thinking about those glorious, perfect, shiny cables dangling behind the TV. Who cares if Ilsa leaves Rick, or Rhett leaves Scarlett? My RiteAV Audio-Video 12ft cables will never let ME down. I'm so happy!

This worked the way it was meant to and felt quite a strong cable - certainly more 'solid' than some
