Disappointed in product.
Consider this a review of the pen itself. I own 3 Waterman pens, and this is, by about $40, the most expensive AND the worst. It looks beautiful in pictures, but feels like a lightweight, cheap, piece of plastic when you hold it. I actually thought it might be a fake when I got it, but discovered it was disappointingly real.

Great pen, I bought this to match my Waterman ...
Great pen, I bought this to match my Waterman Fountain Pen and to replace my 30+ year old Mount Blanc Ink Pen. Size is perfect for me andit writes better than the Mont Blanc in my opinion.

I advise against buying it unseen
*UPDATE Dec 2019*I have been using this pen for two years now and I absolutely love it. I have it on my desk and it never leaves the house. And after two years it looks as good as new. For me it is the perfect weight and size and it is the only pen I use when I am at home. Plus, I don't think that Waterman gets enough credit for how wonderful the cartridges are.Review:This really is a product that you need to see in person before buying. As an earlier reviewer pointed out, it looks and feels like a cheap pen. A very well constructed cheap pen.It less heavy than a Waterman Perspective or Expert II and it feels great in the hand. But I don't think anybody would think it is an expensive pen. It looks like a cheap pen imitating an expensive pen. The grooves really don't help in this regard as it looks like the manufacturer wanted to add a design element without having to use any extra materials. For this reason, I don't carry it with me and have my Waterman Perspective in my bag. Anytime I have to lend it to someone, that person immediately realizes it is an expensive pen. With the Charleston, I would worry they would walk away with the pen assuming it's a cheap throwaway pen.I also own the Waterman Perspective ballpoint and the Waterman Expert II mechanical pencil and rollerball.I am very happy with Waterman Charleston but I would advise anyone to see the pen in person before ordering it online.

One of My Favourites
This is one of my favourite pens. It is not only beautiful, but it has just the right balance and width for me. I have received many compliments on it. Some reviewers alluded to the fact that this pen is lighter than expected, but that is not a dectraction for me, as it still feels good in the hand.

My Favorite Pen
I have had this pen for years, and it has been my favorite through all of that time - more than my Cross, Montblanc, or my other Waterman (a Carene). The weight, balance, and barrel width are a perfect combination for me, and it looks great.

Very Underrated Ballpoint Pen
The first thing I noticed was how smooth it was. It feels as smooth as gorilla glass. It's soft & doesn't have the hard cold feel as metal, but feels like touching a smartphone.I like this twist pen better than the one with a postable cap, because it's slimmer & visually balanced. The design IMO looks Greek/Egyptian with the 3 black stripes, the 4 dark grey stripes & the WATERMAN logo. I thought it was 4 black stripes, but I didn't fully insert the cap.My only critique is that on the (fake cap) it looks like 2 sheets of film that is perfectly joined (injection mold???), but nevertheless, 2 pieces, on an otherwise flawless pen. The rest of the pen doesn't have this visible line. I think they buffed the round part of the pen, but the cap can't be turned in the same way.Again, I just can’t get over the feel. It doesn’t feel like Urushi, Laquer or even Resin. It feels like Gorilla Glass. I have a Parker Duofold, Waterman Carene & several Pilot Maki-e pens. It’s smooth, soft, hard & warm. The only thing that feels similar is gorilla glass "or maybe ebonite urushi". -I don't own any Ebonite Urushi pens.

- Leider, daher keine Kaufempfehlung.
