More accurate than expected.
Although the display is not as bright as some of the OLED models I bought this hoping it would be the most accurate and it did not disappoint. I compared this against a medical grade device that was loaned to me for overnight O2 monitoring test of sleep apnea. This unit was almost dead on with the medical grade device with only a 1 percentage point difference for very short periods. I compared both for 5 minutes.

Excellent, Medical-Quality Home Oximeter (Measures Oxygen, Pulse, and Heartbeat Strength)--Made in USA
I purchased this as a "back up" oximeter (we have 2 others). My husband has some health conditions that make it important to keep tabs on his blood oxygen levels and pulse rate & oximeters like this make it quick & easy to take a measurement several times a day.I really like the simplicity of this one; it's made by Nonin, a trusted company that makes medical-grade oximeters in Minnesota. This one has a light-sensitive sensor that adjusts the backlighting of the display based on ambient light. It's easy to use, but be sure to measure with your "print side up" (meaning your finger should be inserted into the meter with your fingerprints FACING you, rather than fingernail side up). Read the instructions and you'll know what I mean. This appears to be very accurate (measurement agreed with our medical model, which has been calibrated with our doctor's), which is vitally important to those with critical health conditions. The lettering on this model is a digital readout in black; if you have impaired vision, it might be a little difficult for you to read. But if you have no vision issues, this is an EXCELLENT, affordable, quality choice. No lanyard is included, but you can add one to the "slot" so it can be easily worn around your neck for ease of access.Battery is replaceable, when needed. Highly recommended for value & utility!----Have a question about this product or topic? Just leave a comment & I'll be happy to help you, if I can.

'Like having an almost instant check on the machinery.
This is a great little item and allows me to keep a check on myself whenever and where-ever. I often carry it in my pocket and check on myself during times of exertion and times of rest. The design is excellent requiring only that I slide my finger into the "mouse trap" cover. It turns on automatically, and turns off a few seconds after I take out my finger. The single AAA battery seems to last forever. Since I've been through a quintuple bypass a few years ago, I like having a quick check available with something that takes up less room in my pocket than my car-keys. I check O2 readings against O2 readings, so I'm watching for changes and trends, as well as accuracy. The pulse rate is very accurate, of course, but more than that allows me to double check on a regular basis the effect of my activities.

Perfect pulse oximeter for regular home use.
Perfect pulse oximeter.I've had one of those for many years, and it still works without slightest problems. I tested it comparing readings with professional device in medical office, and the accuracy is very good. Needs just one AAA battery, and works from this battery for very long time. Also, the orientation of the display is very convenient for using it on your self. The one I bought now is for my mom. Works exactly the same with the old one just out of the box.

It works very well!
I got this oximeter to use at work, so I don't have to keep chasing after the one big oximeter that we all in the therapy department have to share and that doesn't work some times. I have a coworker that has the more expensive Nonin oximeter, this one is as accurate and only takes 1-2secs more than its "bigger brother" to read. Now, like with any portable oximeter, you got to make sure that the patient's finger is not too cold to get a good reading. I have compared my readings with other oximeters and this one is accurate. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

Oxometer
The best little helper in the world for checking your oxygen level & pulse. I carry it around in my pocket. I am never without it. When people see me using it they are fascinated & it is usually passed around the room with everyone testing their oxygen level. A must for anyone who is dependent on an oxygen source. Never have to wait to see the doctor to have your level checked.

Excellent product
This product is easy to use, accurate and easy to change battery. I had a bad experience with cheaper oxymeter I bought in a drugstore - it was not always displaying results. With other members of the family we own three of these Nonin products, all working fine.

Give me air
This the very best in design and construction.I can't give it 5 stars. When it gives you a reading, it starts very high, but then proceeds to decline slowly. If you give it some time, it gives a stationary number. If you don't pay attention to these quirk, you would think all is OK when it's not.
