Works just like it's suppose to. Allows me to keep track of my blood oxygen leveland my pulse rate no matter where I am. With COPD I'm now more in touch withmy heart and how hard I'm making it work. Reassuring. Just trying to monitor mybody and keep it going in the best order possible for a few more years. This helpskeep me informed between doctor appointments. Blue digital display is big, brightand easy to read and use. Displays the "wave" heartbeat below the large numbers.One button w/ auto shutoff when you remove your finger . . to save batteries.Ladies should note that you need to keep one fingernail free of polish as the polishcan interfere with an accurate reading. This is true of any brand.Would upgrade to Veridian's more expensive unit that allows you to download toyour computer for serious tracking if I had the money. This was purchased for my father who was recently diagnosed with cancer and wanted a way to monitor his oxygen level at home after being discharged from the hospital. (all those monitors do provide a level of security that is lost at home). Anyway, the product has worked wonderfully and rather accurately. He has double checked with a secondary monitor and when at appointments to verify that it works. Also, he has large hands with fingers on the thicker side and this fits without a problem. Overall, I would purchase again if needed and recommend to others.

Only four stars because I couldn't afford the one that could be uploaded to my laptop. I've been experiencing some low Oxygen levels and this has really helped monitor that. Whether during the day or upon waking during the night, I check my levels. If they start heading in the low 90s or below, I immediately start deep breathing until the numbers go back up. It's a good product, and I would recommend it.

Excellent item. Easy to use. Lots of good features. It works accurately and as quick as others on the market.

It works, just wish it would automatically turn on when I put it on a patients finger. Cheap enough so that I don't have to worry if it's lost or stolen.

Oximeter and pulse rate meter. Simple finger-tip device for measuring blood oxygen level and pulse rate. Does what it is supposed to do. Appears to be same thing used in routine exams at the doctor's office. The information it imparts can be scary (just like a fever thermometer telling you your sick child's temp is 104), but is necessary info for you and doctor if you have a lung condition. Now, if only it could send out emanations (good vibrations) to make one quit smoking.Have not had it long enough to judge its longevity.Comes with AAA battery (which is reasonably easy to install or change) and lanyard to carry device around the neck.

Seems to be accurate but any movement throws the wave off.

It's a very good pulse ox. Much better than the one I purchased at Walgreens. And for half the money too!
