Q: will this work for homemade targets?

I'm not sure what a homemade target means in relation to these instant cold packs. But I can tell you that these were defective and/or just horrible cold packs and I returned them. Never got cold to work

Q: How much does each ice pack weigh? I will be travelling and have a weight limit on luggage.

I weighed the 5 packs I have remaining and average weight was 3.11 ounces or 88.22 grams each. Lightest was 2.99 ounces and heaviest was 3.25 ounces.

Q: what are the ingredients? how much does the box weigh for shipping?

Packet says: ammonium nitrate fertilizer (NA-2072) and water. It's a pretty sizable box. I'm going to guess 20 pounds, but it's purely a guess. Box arrived in really bad shape -- packets almost falling out. Packets themselves are 4.5" x 7". Besides the poor shipping, we are very happy with them. You pop them and get instantly cold; they last about 15-20 minutes.
