Detailed, but Verbose with poor print quality
I must begin with strengths of the book and the Author.Chris Woodhouse is exceptionally learned, and knows the subject and the pitfalls of astrophotography in great depth. He has done an exceptional job of putting all his knowledge and learnings in this manual with great details. Now starts the problem with so many details, which have taken up 432 pages of paper, of size bigger than A-4 and font size of just about 8 mm in height. The book Is so written, that I have already spent numerous hours, and yet, I can't find a quick guide to take my first simple astrograph. As a learner, and already quite experienced about Wild photography, I joined some amazing Astrophotography groups on FB, which were very useful in getting me started, and getting the feel. Most good astrogrphers, on FB also share details of their shot, and the way, they have processed the image. With the available knowledge, on FB and Internet, I could take some nice stacked images of moon, and now geared up for Andromeda galaxy. Now probably, because of too detailed explanations, the publisher made the font size very very small, just to maintain the size of this book under 3 pounds. Fonts are so small and thin that this is the first book of my life, for which I have to read use reading lens. I never have to do the same with Newspaper..This book is probably ok for intermediate level Astrophotographers, who some time want to fill in the knowledge gap.I would never recommend this to a new comer, for whom, there are numerous articles, videos and FB group posts are available to get started. One also gets to know the latest in equipment and software to process images, through experts on FB.I am sorry, if someone is hurt about the review. Probably, I have less patience to read so much before getting in to the act.

Bought as a gift
We bought it as a gift but returned it because Amazon and packaging books is not the best combination. The book itself is very nice though. We bought it somewhere else and the receiving person was very happy!
