Strathmore25-151 200 Learning Series Watercolor Basics Pad White, 9-x-12-Inch

I actually already use Watercolors, but I was getting stuck at the ends of some projects. When I saw this, I knew it would be a great way to go back through the basics easily, and it looked FUN! I love Kelly's YouTube channel, so I knew I'don't love the videoshow that go with it. I was right, it was a lot of fun, anyone can learn from this so I'll be giving these out next Yule/Christmas.You don't need a lot of supplies to get started, Kelly shows you the most basic stuff first, the site that you go to has a video that tells you how to use the book, how to watch the videos for each little learning project, and it even has templates and line drawings if you're too nervous to sketch things out. If you have any suspicions that you might enjoy watercolor, this book will help you find out.

I love not writing with boundaries. I use this book for journaling.

Not really impressed with the book but i like it has video lessons on their website the book said "nature" with a deer example i didn't really expect fruit so i thought those 2 lessons well sucked. The website videos are a little hard to view on a pad it would not show the entire video and would not expand so it was small and a little fast, I Did like that each lesson had what colors to be used but without the videos it would have not got 4 stars and that it offers pdf of each pic on the website. I think this would have been better as a video with paper.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my sister and she loves it! She had some experience with watercolor, but still finds Kelly's lessons to be thorough and helpful. I've seen all the paintings she's done from this series and they are gorgeous! She even branched out and did a lily not in the book, but using techniques she learned, and it is glorious. Kelly is a great teacher and this book is proof! I'd highly recommend it to a newbie or to someone with a little watercolor knowledge.

I`m very interested in watercolor painting, but never had the chance to learn it professionally. So what i usually do is searching tons of Youtube videos and try to learn from them. Kelly is one of my favorite Youtuber and I`ve been watching her videos for a bit of time. They are very helpful and I really like the way she teaches watercolor painting.Speaking of this book, I`m very satisfied! The content is well organized and you can really see the efforts the author has put into. For people like me (who likes painting but has no art background), this won`t be a difficult book that you can`t understand. The step-by-step instruction will guide you to finish the work.By the way, I also purchased the other book "Watercolor basics" and I love them both.I hope that you will enjoy this book and love watercolor painting like I do!

I like Strathmore paper, and this is a super cool idea. I love that you can watch video tutorials for each lesson and download outlines if you want. This is my first effort. I learned a lot. I bet the second time I do this flower it will look a lot better.

Was a gift for a teen. She is really into drawing Manga and really enjoyed it. She asked if there were more in the series.

¡Amé este libro! El material es bastante completo y sencillo de entender. La serie de videos es especialmente útil. Muchos libros de dibujo no incluyen espacios para practicar, es lo especial de este libro. No incluye lo básico del dibujo manga pero la idea, me parece es más la práctica que la teoría.

Wasn't worth the price. Definitely thought it would have more examples of drawing technics and less blank space throughout the book. I thought I was drawing a how to book not a sketching pad. There is more blank pages (for drawing) than there is of characters to learn how to draw. There are 8 double sided blank pages and 30 other blank pages opposite to the illustrations as well as just over half the size of the page under each illustration.A plus side is that most of the illustrations have a guided video as well. It seems rather easy.

I was disappointed it wasn't what I expected. Learn to Draw Nature implies that you will be taught how to draw, but from what I understand the book is more learning how to use coloured pencils as you trace your subject and colour it in. Most of the book consists of thick drawing paper at the back which must be cut out with an artists knife. There is a website where you must go follow the lessons. To be honest I haven't had time to use the book yet to see how helpful it is but if I had seen this book in a store I would not have purchased it. Your service was great arrived in timely fashion.
