A brief start to the process. A little hard to understand the method need to practice. No patterns. Need more.

Not what I expected
This is a written instruction with pictures of how to shuttle tat but they give no patterns.

Useless
Useless. Would have given zero stars if that was possible. Repeats how to make a double stitch 3 times in 3 separate chapters and that’s it. Does not explain terms. Badly translated into English and very poor pictures. It appears to be a printout of a transcript from a video or website. Text and photos are not even formatted to fit the book. This will not teach you tatting. I recycled it.

Pictures aren't helpful. Tatting is difficult to learn and the pictures aren't helpful. They look very confusing and are difficult to follow.

So basic, it's disappointing.
Heavily padded: two-thirds unnecessary bunk, such as, "Getting started if you've never tatted before can be frightening." Childishly formatted: fewer than ~80 words/page, double-spaced. Repetitive directions: three pages on how to wind a shuttle? Five more pages before we get to making a stitch? Actual necessary instructions were on point, drawings well done, but considering you've already finished a quarter of the book, which shows how to do a number of stitches but Not. One. Project? Not even the ones on the front cover, one of which I wanted and was the only reason I bought the book? I regret having bought it but I already marked it so can't return it.

Buy a good book in stead of this crap.
This has minimal information. The pictures are faded and fuzzy and don't really show what you need to know. You get the feeling the author spent all of an hour making this.
