Many Waters Cannot Quench Love
This book is quite possibly my favorite in L'Engle's Tme Quintet, though the first book is such a great classic that I can't decide between books 1 and 4. In this book we follow the twins, Sandy and Dennys, who have been minor characters in the shadow of Meg and Charles Wallace in the previous books. The twins are 15 in this story and mess with one of their father's experiments which hurls them into the distant past before the Great Flood where they meet Japheth, Shem, Ham, Lamech, Noah, and Noah's beautiful daughter Yalith. In the story the twins fight nephilim, protect Yalith, work in Grandfather Lamech's garden, and become part of Noah's family. At the beginning of the story, the twins are homesick and want to return to their own time, but by the end of the story when they make it back, they express that they will always be homesick for the pre-flood people they had come to love, especially Yalith who, though she could not go aboard the Ark or go with the twins back to their time, was all right, safe in the Lord's hands because of her great love , not only for God but for the two strangers, the twins. Everyone needs to definitely read this book from the Time Quintet.

Thought Provoking
I missed this one when I read the series as a preteen. I am now reading this series with my preteen and this book was very interesting. It combines the theories of both organized religion and science in a way that was thought provoking and gave us a lot to discuss.Overall, the Wrinkle in Time series is a great classic that intertwines reality, science and fantasy along with space and time travel. It's really a little bit of everything, and each book gets more sophisticated along the way. Much the way that the HP series does. l'Engle was ahead of her time, so to speak.

The fourth book of The Time Quintet, it did not disappoint me.
This review is for the Kindle edition ebook. The fourth book of The Time Quintet, it did not disappoint me.The twins seem to have done something wrong, when they touched an experimental computer in the lab. They are sent back in time, way back, to the time of Noah and the Ark.This series is very good. The author does a good job in this book, giving us a chance to see the twins accomplish something quite extraordinary, instead of Charles Wallace and Meg. I like the way the author is able to give us a story about biblical times, without interjecting that it is anything more than fiction. If you are familiar with the story of Noah, this may seem like it has more truth than fiction. At the same time, it is not necessary to know religious teachings to enjoy this story. In writing this story, Madeleine L'Engle once again leads the reader on a fantastic journey through space and time. The book allows the reader to decide how much of the story is true, and how much is made up. Of course, even those with a religious background will find much of this is fiction. The Time Quintet series is a great set of books for the young adult reader. It is also great for readers of fantasy. I have already picked up the fifth book of the series, and, I have no doubt, will enjoy it as much as the first four books.

Belief is What Matters
I think this is my favorite of the Wrinkle in Time books. This story involves the twins, Sandy and Dennys, who unwittingly put themselves inside one of their father’s time travel experiments. They land in a desert in a blisteringly hot climate and are rescued by a small brown man who takes them back to the oasis. Those knowing Biblical stories will recognize some of the characters and what’s coming at once. I really enjoyed the focus on the twins, which up until now had been background characters, and how they interact with the people in the place/time where they land.

Interesting Concept
Years ago, I read Piers Anthony's series Incarnation of Immortality. I found it very interesting. I have re-read it and often recommend the series. In some respects, this is like that. It provides a view of time long ago. How it happened and why it happened. An expanded view of what might not have made it into the Bible. By the way, I have also read many of the Legends of the Bible collection which I also find mind expanding. Remember, or maybe you're just finding out, the Bible was only put together in the third century AD - both "old" and "new" testaments,

A poetic twist on the story of Noah's Ark
I have loved Madeleine L'Engle's books since middle school, starting with A Wrinkle In Time. This is a continuation of the O'Keefe family's adventures traveling through space and time, but with twins Sandy and Dennys as the protagonists. By accident they are flung back to Biblical, pre-flood times, where they are taken in by Noah and his family. The story combines spiritual, religious, and scientific themes into a creative narrative about the situation on Earth that led to the building of an Ark. Mythical beings help or sabotage humans, depending on their purpose., and a tender love story underlies the main plot. If you are a L'Engle fan, this moving book will not disappoint.

A little disappointed. This book was not as good as Madeleine L'Engle's other 3 books
I really liked Madeleine L'Engle's first three books in the Time quartet series, but this book was not as good as the other three, which were much better written. I recommend reading L'Engle's first three books, but not this one.

El cuarto libro del Quinteto.
El libro llegó en la fecha prevista, en perfectas condiciones y se correspondía con la descripción de vendedor. Un clásico en la literatura de ciencia ficción. Una pena que sea tan poco conocido en nuestro País.
