Yogi Tea Mayan Cocoa Spice, 16-count (Pack of6)

I have loved Yogi Cocoa Spice for years. I noticed the name on this item was different (it's "Mayan"!), and we're calling it a "supplement". But I took a chance on 6 boxes, to save time tracking down the old Cocoa Spice. I hoped for the best.The flavor is different, and if I still had an old box I would probably find the formulations are different. This is pretty good for a cocoa tea, to drink instead of eating chocolate, But it isn't as rich as the original tea. The flavors don't blend together as well, or something. Maybe more focus on marketing and less expensive ingredients?It's not bad, and it is in the same ballpark as the original tea. But I won't be drinking it as frequently. I don't want to have to add coconut milk calories to make it taste as good as the original. YMMV.Now I am worried about all the Yogi teas I like..they have all gotten new names and are "supplements". I will be trying them out before I buy any flavor that has had a makeover.

After reading some great reviews on this herbal tea, I am disappointed with the taste of it. I don't really like it very much. I was expecting it to taste like a mixture of cocoa and spices, but it just has a weird sort of taste that isn't really either one. Perhaps it is the addition of stevia leaf that gives it that strange taste. I never liked the taste of stevia, and it is one of the main ingredients in this tea, in 5th place, ahead of the ginger, clove and black pepper! I also don't like to see so many added flavors in it. There are several "natural" flavors added to it, which I find unnecessary. I was very surprised to see that the ingredient list on my box is so different from the one that is still showing on this web page. I like the older version so much better.

I like the Yogi teas in general because I drink tea all day long, and while you would expect to get a good steeping or two from their teabags, I can really just enjoy my tea all day long, with the same teabags that I used at 8am!This tea in particular has really great cocoa notes that are subtle enough to enjoy in conjunction with other teas, or by itself. I personally like to mix this tea with their tangerine or vanilla flavored teas, and the combination is really outstanding.If you like a light spicy cocoa flavor without an outright *chocolate* flavor, this is perfect for you, but if you come into this expecting it to taste like a chocolate bar or hot chocolate, you'll be disappointed. Yogi generally has great flavor, but it IS still tea, after all.

Add a bit of milk and your preferred sweetner and this tea becomes a very satisfying treat for a sweet tooth. Has been the only tea I've tried that helps me maintain my goal of drinking less coffee and diet soda by serving as a delicious substitute. The individual packaging of each tea bag is a nice convenience. I keep a few bags in my purse and my travel mug with me and it's usually easy to find hot water.

I purchased a case of this tea a while ago and now am finishing up my last box and about to reorder. This tea is so good I regularly put a few packets in a purse or my backpack so that I can enjoy some when I am not at home. The aroma is heavenly - cinnamony, chocolatey, spicy, beautiful. The flavor is delicate but bold, and this tea is so sweet by itself that I find I do not need to add any sugar or sweetening. I previously drank a lot of milk and would put milk in this tea -- it is very good that way but not necessary.

I love this tea. All of a sudden, I was having a difficult time finding it in stores. A friend suggested I look on Amazon. Not only did they have it, but if I order a case (6 boxes) and have it shipped to me regularly (as far out as every 6 months), I ended up getting it shipped to my house, no tax, at a phenomenally low price compared to what I was paying in stores. Great way to purchase this product.

It's one of my favorite herbal teas. The first few boxes I tried a few years ago were amazing! The boxes I've received lately, although good, don't seem quite as good as I remembered.

I absolutely LOVE this tea. In fact I ordered two cases after my mother tried it and told me she must have some because she can't begin to think about going through a cold hard winter without it! It arrived safely and before I expected to arrive. I often will hand a bag to coworkers who are having a tough day or to show my appreciation and everyone raves about how delicious it is. You must steep this for at least 5 minutes.
