Wilton ABC Blocks Baby Shower Centerpiece, 8" L x 5" W x 14.5" H

I was throwing a baby shower for a young friend, and thought I would try to make a diaper cake for fun. I've seen them for years but never really thought about how to make one. I was on the fence as to whether to get this, but I thought for $7 it wasn't a huge investment. WOW - this was SO worth it! The circle bottom is flimsy, but the ribbon and directions alone was worth it. I bought a large bottle of Target baby wash for the center, and I got a box of 78 Huggies newborn diapers. I followed the directions on in the kit, and I used 2 pieces of tape to roll the diapers (starting with the waistband and rolled to the center). Used 6 large rubber bands for the different layers, and the cake held well. I then bought a travel size box of assorted J&J items (baby wash, lotion, etc.) and a couple newborn pacifiers and paci holders and I put a stuffed animal on the middle. It looked GREAT and professionally done. It took me just about an hour to assemble it from scratch and the mom-to-be was simply blown away. If I ever felt like doing another diaper cake again, I would choose this one again in a heartbeat. I will say for a larger cake, use larger diapers. I used newborn diapers so it ended up on the small side - you could use Size 1 for a larger cake.

This is really cute. I kept seeing diaper cakes at baby showers and finally caved and bought this kit for a sprinkle. It was really easy to put together. I bought two different sizes of diapers so taller ones were on the bottom and smaller ones were on the top. The only thing I didn't know about was that I needed to buy baby shampoo or lotion bottles for the center of the cake. I thought the entire thing was made of diapers but that would require double the amount. So I bought two bottles of Johnson's baby lotion, put them together, and placed the diapers all around the bottles. It added some weight to the cake. The cake only came with blue ribbon and the sprinkle was for a baby girl so had to buy pink ribbon. I also had to buy rubber bands to hold all of the diapers together - make sure you buy large and small rubber bands. I also needed to use strong tape to hold the decorations on. Make sure you buy bottles, rubber bands and tape and you should be good to build this. Everyone loved it at the party.

This diaper cake was a smash hit for my colleague's baby shower. It was easy to put together, besides the fact that the kit requires extra purchases, like a bottle of lotion, rubber bands, and a baby bottle to hold everything together under the surface. Those things were all purchased at the dollar store though and the finished product was excellent! People were asking me to make one for them for other showers and they'd pay me. I told them to go online to Amazon and purchase the kit. I already have a day job, lol. Nonetheless, for the price, it is definitely worth it if you want to give someone something with a personal touch for their newborn baby.

This is a good "place to begin" kit..................the directions are good, there is a (what I would call) TEMPLATE/TOP PLATE which is supposed to serve as a cake circle for the weight of the whole project. NOT going to happen. you will need to reinforce it with your own cardboard if you wish it to be sturdy. It is, however, cute with little baby feet on it. If you wish to keep it simple, this kit will serve. If you wish to upgrade it, you can go to the dollar store and get baby shower things and glue them around the ribbon, mini baby products (lotion, bath, etc.)....work with it. Suggestions: It tells you to put a bottle of baby wash in the middle and put the diapers around it, I found it much better to put a cardboard paper towel roll hot glued to the cardboard center, down and use that as your diaper center. I also cut a piece of cardboard to reinforce the one they give you, used a plastic/fabric (whichever) to cover it on the bottom, hot glued the cardboard the gave to hide the fabric i put around the bottom piece of cardboard I used to reinforce. (fixed that issue right up) Also note, this is seemingly geared more toward a "BOY" what with blue ribbon, more blues in the other decor, so you may need to buy pink ribbon, etc. It is a very helpful starter kit. worth the money, I only give it low stars due to the poor cake base that really should make it slightly less expensive perhaps.

I brought this for a baby shower project. I was excited to receive it and work on it. But the package did get messed up when arrived. It was somewhat damage folded not sure i was able to do my project. I pulled it out of the package. I unfolded to salvage what i could. I did not return the item due to not enough time to send back before my deadline. Somehow it came out beautiful. The pattern was simple and easy to follow. I added few touches and did get a photo on it. I believe it turned out well at the end. The price was affordable. In the first photo project chosen it was color for a boy baby. The second photo I used red rose. The color was beautiful but changed the flowers and decided to use the teal green rose at the end. Red Roses was saved for the grandmother and mothers to be baby corsages for the baby shower.

This is super cute. Additional items you will need to make it: 1. a Hard base, prolly the card board in which this came from Amazon where you have to stick the base here. the base is otherwise very flimsy. 2. Diapers - for a 5 tier care as in picture attached we needed around 160 diapers. A 4-tier looked little small with our decoration but that would need 80-100 diapers. We used huggies size 1 from Costco. 3. Elastic rubbers of various sizes and some thread. 4. we used sticky glue dots so stick the feet to a paper. so First staple a small piece of paper to the ribbon provided and then used glue dot to stick the feet to it. This was the only way to get the feel stay on it. Otherwise they would fall off within few minutes. 5. Assorted decoration to be used on cake. Everyone liked the cake and looked really cute.

Worst Seller..If there is any chance of giving zero stars I would rather give that. Worst Product Please don't ever buy this product.There is nothing much you'll be getting with this just few cartons that's it which is not even worth 10 rupees.This product is a complete fraud.Pleaseeee don't buy it.

Excellent for making a diaper cake

Acheté pour baby shower dont le sexe du bébé était inconnu. Les couleurs s'adaptent aussi bien pour une fille que pour un garçon, par contre elles sont très claires et ne ressortent pas du tout.
