Perfect for small solo gigs
I've used this model for almost a year now. I'm a solo performer, guitarist/singer, and have used this P.A. about once a month over the past year. I can set it up and be ready to play within 15 minutes. It's light and compact, and easily fits into the back of my RAV4, along with several guitars, various stands, and a barstool for performing. The sound is powerful and easily tweakable for tone, volume and effects, and actually sounds better to my ears than the acoustic amps I've been using at home. The built-in effects are first-rate, though I tend to use the same one for performing -- adding a little reverb for and very slight delay for my voice. The effects can be controlled individually on each channel, of course, though it's not possible to assign different effects for different channels.I've been playing indoor spaces in coffeehouses and restaurants, but also played outdoors recently, where the sound was particularly clean, projecting across a small park. I've also used this rig to perform with a fellow guitarist/singer. We had two XLR mics, and two guitar cables, and in that case we had to connect both mics and guitars to the same channels, which might be a problem if you only have a passive pickup inside your guitar, but we made it work. It's ideal for solo performers, though. The ONLY down side to this particular model (and reason not giving 5 stars) is that there are no stereo outs for recording or monitor use, but in most spaces, I haven't had the need for a monitor. Where I did think I needed a monitor, I just positioned myself slightly in front of the speakers and was able to perform without any feedback issues. I haven't had to use the feedback controls at all. Once I plugged my guitar and a vocal mic into a Fishman Loudbox-Mini for use as a monitor, then into the P.A., and that worked well.

Absolute disaster
The first attempt to deliver if I come by ups was unsuccessful because a required a signature, which had I been told that I would have arranged to be home. So I had to go to the ups service center to pick it up. Once I got my PA system home and unwrapped, I discovered that the package of silicone balls that are used to absorb moisture, etc. had ruptured and spilled inside of my system!!!! It literally sounded like a rainstick! Because I was performing the next day I had to very delicately take apart the back of the system and remove them myself. This took almost 2 hours! Livid does not even begin to describe it. Because these tiny balls were silicone I ran the risk of the PA heating up and causing them to melt and stick to vital components of my system. Once I carefully reassembled the unit, I made sure that things seemed to work fine, but this fiasco was unacceptable and inexcusable! I expect to be compensated and/or sent a brand new unit!I would've written this the night of this disaster, but it would've been filled with expletives due to my frustration at the painstaking process of making my brand new system safe to use.

Bang for the buck and then some
I am going to assume you are like I was and looking to choose among the various offerings of Fender/Samson/Yamaha and Behringer for a pack 'n go PA. I am not a gigging musician so I wanted it more for a presentation/karaoke/outdoor show system. After reading buku reviews and watching the SPARSE selection of YT videos on these products I settled on the EPA300. Is there such a thing as "buyers rejoice"? I am a few days in with it and am more than pleased with the versatility and sound. The bottom end has real punch and the compression tweeter has body to it, not just sterile highs and sizzle. The 5 band EQ is sensitive and responsive, and the FX module is pretty incredible for a system at this price point. What I really like is you can select and activate an effect, then select your next effect and have it waiting for a simple bump of the knob to change up your sound completely. Unfortunately, the Effects Table wasn't included in the box, and I had to download the EPA900 users manual to find it, but it is now laminated and stowed between the speakers. The FX quality is outstanding imo. I am waiting on my HOSA cable to try the vocal eliminator on channels 5/6 - since nobody has mentioned it, I will log back on with my results once I test it.Update: OK, not that I am really surprised but the vocal eliminator is not a useful tool. As suspected, it is a spectrum filter and it suppresses more than just vocals when it works at all. Many songs keep audible singing at diminished volume, but the heart of the mid range is all washed out. Not an appealing sound, so it is much preferable to pay for instrumentals and have your vocalists sing along. Does it change the way I feel about the Europort? Not a bit - I got the speakers up on the stands, and I still marvel at the punch these 8" drivers possess.

Overall, great product
Overall, this is a great product and the price was best from this seller. I do find that it is a bit heavy for me... after having used the Fender Passport for the last 10 years, I got spoiled by its light weight. I love that there are so many effects presets, but I was disappointed to find that only one effect can be chosen at a time for all the channels... it would be great to assign different effects to each channel. That said, it has great sound, good power, and I love the phantom power feature because it lights up my Hiel mic. The fact that it also came with a good mic (with an on/off switch) and a mic cord was a plus! Arrived in a timely manner and in perfect condition!

Great performance, a bit heavy
The EPA300 performs very well, easy to setup, the bass is great even though the speakers are relatively small. I play music from a Nano-iPod through the AUX IN (using the wire that came with the iPod) and does great job (hard to believe you can get very loud Zumba music from such a small device). Plenty of power for a 40'X40' room.I do not transport it regularly so I have not seen the issues with the latches, although they do seem a bit flimsy. The unit is pretty heavy and does not have rollers, so be ready for heavy lifting for transport. I agree that the wires should connect to the speakers from the back and not the front, but I can live with that.Overall, I recommend this PA system.

It's a good hi-fi system.
As a sound system, this PA is pretty spot on. The EQ is helpful for tweaking tracks when you're playing them back.As a PA, I would go for something with more power behind it. It's a fantastic idea having it clip together, but we use it for vocals during our band practise and against a drum kit and 3 guitars, it simple isn't loud enough. We practise in a village hall so the room is pretty big, I'd like to see what it's capable of in a smaller room. The microphone isn't great, so my advice would be to purchase a Shure SM57/SM58 or a condenser for what you want to use it for.The effects are pretty decent, I use a touch of reverb, and chorus to boost the vocal channels. It would be better with actual wheels on the bottom, to wheel it around as well. Clips on it are sturdy though, that's a plus.

What a great bit of kit!!
Absolutely perfect for what i am using it for, quality and everything is great. The handle is quite rough to hold, i need to get some sponge glued to it as it cuts into your hand if carrying it far. But otherwise great sound. Oh and the microphone is poor quality, put a sure SM58 and BOOM!" You got a smashing sound system!!

Do not Buy!
Keep away! This piece of kit has design fault.I have had two replacements. All three amps had the same power problem in which they constantly blew the fuses. The third amp lasted exactly half an hour!Look elsewhere this machine will let you down.
