Not The Real Deal
This piece works fine so far, and it seems durable enough, but I do not believe it's Laguiole. There are no makers marks anywhere on the piece or even country of origin. That said, I still kinda like it. I'll just have to wait and see how it holds up.

Cheaply made and falling apart
After 5 months the threading mechanism is giving out making it impossible to screw the device into the cork

While very stylish in an Art Deco vein, the "Rube Goldberg" ratcheting mechanism on the wings jammed the second day I had this corkscrew, thus rendering it TOTALLY USELESS!! to say, it is going back and I will look for something different.

Very pretty to look at BUT - the wing arms do nothing. The corkscrew is too fat and breaks apart corks.. Waste of money.
